I am going to take a moment and quote Google because I don't see any reason to mess it up with my personal take on the opportunity at hand. I think they summed it up quite nicely. Ready? Read. I quote,
"Become qualified in Google Analytics. The Google Analytics Individual Qualification (IQ) is a proof of proficiency in Google Analytics. After passing the Google Analytics IQ test, you'll be effective at leveraging Google Analytics within your organization and helping others to do the same. An in-depth, step-by-step curriculum is provided free of charge from Google to help you prepare for the test."
(Mind you now, you have to pay for the test. Seriously! [LOL] BTW, you can purchase that here.)
This Club Chaos chic techno geek moment was brought to you by my tweet-peep @lkhatiwada. I must say he has quite a few interesting links you may want to check out. I read about the Google Chat Wizard because of him. He also clued me in on WordPress blog duplication. Interesting reading... if you have some time, go take a peek. If you are a computer geek like me, you just may want to take a crack at this. It looks like a very useful bit of information/skill set to have. Think about your resume, people. Think about it... :-)
UPDATE:
Q: Why do I need Google Analyctics? What is it?

I am going to take that course. I have messed around with google analytics a bit, but never really gave it full effort yet.
Ok C Tann, what in the world is google analtics and why do we need it. Will check it out, sounds important, but do tell, why do I need it
Yes, please share......what is it and why do we need it and need to test our IQ in regards to it.
Robert, wishing you well with that. :-)
Kate and Lisa, would you like to learn more about where your visitors come from? How about using a free Google program that provides data regarding how people visiting your website actually interact with your stuff? Having raw data regarding what you are doing on-line effective and efficiently (or lousy) is the type of information a blogger trying to promote his or her business needs. Google's information could be used (1) to possibly improve their writing, (2) hopefully help you design and implement better ads, (3) may help strengthen your marketing initiatives, and (4) can help you create higher-converting websites. THINK ABOUT YOUR VIEWS VS CLICKS ON ACTIVE RAIN... those ratios in your statistics link can tell you which posts are more popular in your inventory of posts. You can use it to decide what your readers respond to (or not).
I use google analytics to track what I'm doing online and helps me keep on top of my game
Sonny, I use it and a few other interesting widgets as well.
It's like a gauge for your efforts. . you can see it grow as times passes by. . I use it to track the number of my visitors
Each time I've tried to investigate Google analytics I've gotten confused and given up. I suppose this course would be just what I need.
Great resource. I shared this with my marketing analyst. It never hurts to learn from the experts...
C Tann , thanks. Now I get it, it a tracking tool. Good Stuff. Free is always good, especially if it's from Google.
