Technical Glitches At Google May Have Exposed Your Data

Google Docs are mad cool and I love the way Rainers have embraced the option; however, there's a hitch. It's possible that some people who previously collaborated on one project may have been inadvertently allowed to see other documents they were not given permission to see. That whomps! Seriously.

There is a fascinating on-line story regarding an example of this event here. It's a bit more widespread than you may think but Google is taking serious steps to remedy the situation. I'm pretty transparent at times, but I do value my privacy. I'm on hold with Google Docs for now.

Just thought you should know...

Enjoy your day.

Regards, C.

With as much as Google has going on, we have to expect the occasional glitch in the system, before they correct it.

Ann, the boys and I have been running amuck. We've gotta clean up before Daddy comes back home (LOL).

Rebecca, I think I tried it once, did something wrong, briefly crashed my browser and never bother to continue the experiment. I'd like to use them, but I'm gonna wait for the patch. I love Google. I'm sure they're searching out every scenario they can to fix this issue and improve the app.

JL, this is true. :-)

I love Google Docs - I can access my work from wherever I am and I don't have to save on portable memory.

I don't think I will worry about this as I have not shared with anyone, although I do hope that this issue is fixed soon.

Sandy, not having to save on portable memory is pretty cool. :-)

Hi Carolyn, Oh, this is good to know, 'tho I only share w/ my assistant. I find Google docs a very cool application & I'm confident that Big G will get it handled!

Marian, so am I, but it certainly put the brakes on for a hot minute. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop (LOL). :-)
