The President's Home Affordability Plan is available for download from the White House. There were a couple of moments in the Press Conference where I was laughing my a$$ off. Click the link to check out the video on this. Very interesting indeed. Seriously! You definitely should check this out. It's worth the watch (LOL).
I like reading The White House Blog. Have you tried it out? You should. O laid out the four keys of the Homeowner Affordability and Stability Plan (Here's the O quotes): "1. Refinancing help for four to five million homeowners who receive their mortgages through Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac; 2. New incentives for lenders to modify the terms of sub-prime loans at risk of default and foreclosure; 3. Steps to keep mortgage rates low for millions of middle class families looking to secure new mortgages and 4. Additional reforms designed to help families stay in their homes." You can read the entire article here.
Make sure you check out all four links provided at the end. :-)

My dear and lovely friend C., Must you refer to the leader of the free world as O? I know we referred to his predecessor as W, but I didn't like him, so it didn't bother me! Lol! And what is up with there not being a little box to check off that I want to be sent updates to this post?
Carolyn - For the record, I am OK with "O" and I did like "W".
The deal is that we are all here togehter; let's stop drawing lines and start pulling together for the team!
Beyond that ... great info source, as usual!
Where is my friend?
And why cant we follow all the responses anymore....someone doesn't like the hijacking I'll bet - it's going to take more effort now, Sorry Carolyn!
Hey girl! Sorry I've been so MIA. It seems I stay swamped trying to get my life and biz perfect. So far that hasn't worked! LOL
Susan, my love. I like calling him O. I liked W as well. Equal opportunity letters, so get used to it bay-bay (LOL). ;-)
Thank you, Lisa. I'm with you. He's our President, so we need to get with the programs and help find solutions to the mess we're in. It didn't happen overnight, it's been going on for 7000+ years. History has a funny way of repeating itself. :-)
Hi Melodious, your friend is lurking in cyberspace. :-)
Teresa, they are probably just re-coding a module for efficiency (LOL).
Lizette, my lovely, it's okay. I've been working long hours as well. I owe you a phone call and will try to connect with you over the weekend. ;-)
C,
Where is all of this help gonna end, it looks like we are pouring $$$$$ into a black hole and not doing any good!!
Don, I'm still trying to figure out if I should jump in or watch from the sidelines... Right now, I'm just talking about what's going on but it seems we should be doing something about what has been happening. We can't just sit by and hope for the best anymore, we have to find solutions and help them find them if programs don't work.
It's going to take some time to discover if this will work... I'm wishing O the very best on his venture. He needs a win to rally bi-partisan support and get them working more efficiently to dig us out of this very serious hole.
C, thanks for sharing the link to the White House. --I hope you do help AR through their difficulties.

AR is having difficulties? I am sooo confused. Maria Morton, what on Earth are you talking about? (LOL) Active Rain is doing very well(LMAO). Seriously!
It appears that I was kicked off by the server for the above comment (LOL). :-)
It doesn't seem to me that the Stimulus Plan is going to help very many homeowners at all, and certainly not those underwater by 50% in California.
Elizabeth, it appears to only be geared towards a few million out of 300+ Million Americans...
C.,
Let the Big O give me a call and I'll give him some some direction on employment numbers and a direct correlation to new construction.....no one seems focused on this diagram.....
Julie, they should be and you have inspired me to look a bit more closely at the available data. I may be doing a post on this soon. :-)
