I've Been Tagged For A Book MeMe... I get To Pick 5 New MeMe Victims (LOL)

I've been tagged for a Book MeMe. The concept is quite simple and here is how it works:

1. Grab the nearest book.

2. Open the book to page 56.

3. Find the fifth sentence.

4. Post the text of the next two to five sentences.

5. Don’t dig for your favorite book, the cool book or the intellectual one. Pick the Closest.

6. Tag five people to do the same. BTW, *The one book that this can not be is the Bible*

(Bummer, I love the Bible and the Torah is sitting on my drafting table right now. Oh well...)

Page 56 from "Corporate Fraud Handbook Prevention and Detection," by Joseph T. Wells:

Books of Accounts

There are two types of books of accounts: journals and ledgers. A journal "(derived from the french word jour, meaning day) is a day-by-day, or chronological, record of transactions." Financial information is taken from source documents and recorded in the journals. Most businesses typically have at least four journals: a cash receipts and disbursements journal; a sales or accounts receivable journal, in which all sales made on credit and cash are listed; a purchases (or accounts payable journal) which records all acquisitions of services purchased on credit; and a general journal which reflects transactions not covered by other journals. It is also the journal used to adjust the books.

Hmm... so now you guys know what type of books I like to recreational read (LOL). Did I mention I was trying to collect multiple broker's licenses in four different States? I think I did, but in case I did not do so lately, I am you know... That is not an easy endeavor. FL is currently kicking my butt, however I am getting a lot of help from my on-line and brick and mortar friends who I love dearly. Thank you, bay-bays!

Now for the fun part. Here are my book loving victims I now tag with great interest (and expect a hint of the hilarious - after all Kathy Passarette, Paddy Pizappi and Susan Mangigian have inspired me - not to mention the fact that my gorgrous gal pals tagged my A$$. BTW, Paddy's MeMe page was priceless - LOL. Susan's fascinated me. Kathy is sublime. I shall have to go on-line and buy their books.) I tag:

(1) Melody Botting

(2) Robert Rauf

(3) Jane Grant

(4) Elizabeth Weintraub

(5) Josef Katz

Only you would have Corporate Fraud Handbook Prevention and Detection on your desk C.  Thanks for keeping it going.

Posted by Paddy Pizappi PineBush & Hudson Valley NY Real Estate (RJ Smith Realty Real Estate Solutions) about 1 year ago

LOL @ Paddy. Maybe I should take a picture of what's on my desk and do a post about my reading habits (LOL). They are quite diverse. I am having thoughts that are hilarious! The cartoons in my head are having quite a field day. :-)

Hello Melodious! :-)

Yes, please do. I think you will be quite surprised. I fell out howling with laughter. I started wondering what I would find if I did that with ten books, picking one off of each self. :-D

I may just do that for the amusement of it... who knows what I will post next (LOL).

CTS- Please behave, on second thought, please don't.

Posted by Melody Botting Real Estate Network about 1 year ago

LOL @ Mel.

Lets see... who shall I select next...

Maybe I should start at the bottom and find one on the shelf that needs a little dust blown off of it. ;-)

I'm a published poet. I haven't touched this book since they sent it to me in 2001. Very dusty (LOL). I will not tell you what page I am on but I will select what ever is on page 56 line 5 et al:

The International Library of Poetry: "Perceptions Of Infinity" Page 56

"My Love," by Rebecca Lippold (lines 6 - 9)

"My love burning inside is never ending. I will follow you with all my heart and with nothing to turn back to. I thank you, my love, and my God, for putting me on this Earth. And I thank you for everything you have given me."

Yes, I admit it, I love poetry. I write quite a lot of it, can recite volumes and am addicted to William Shakespeare. I've been published in four poetry volumes. The first time I was still in High School. How cool is that? (LOL).

Lol C - As I glance around my living room, all of the books are for kids and none have 56 pages.  I could however, recite Chicka Chicka Boom Boom verbatim.

C.. I'm sorry.  I dosed a little during your few lines from the Book of Accounts!  How can you focus on such serious subjects!  Give me fiction or give me death, girl!  The rest of your post was wonderful, as always.   Love you girl.   Give my minion nephews hugs from Aunt Susan.

Aunt Susan, too funny! "Give Me Fiction Or Give Me Death," would make a spanking blog post title! (LMAO)

LOL @ Richard. Sometimes you just have to take a break, pick a point and start over fresh. :-)

Posted by C Tann-Starr (TannStarr.com TannStarr.ws REMAX People Realty) about 1 year ago

Carolyn, I was dead serious though.  Some people live to read.  I read to live.  It keeps me sane.  It's gotta be fiction.  If I want real life, I'll turn on the damn news.  It's my escape.  Give me fiction, or give m death... that's my new motto!  And you are right, it's the perfect post title.... gotta think of a story to go with it.  I love you!

Posted by Susan Mangigian, West Chester PA Realtor RE/MAX Preferred, ABR (RE/MAX Preferred, West Chester, PA, RS152252A) about 1 year ago

Susan, I am an anal retentive recreational reader. I plow through law books and comic books. My forensic collection is next to my cook books and Bear in the Big Blue House (LMAO). We have so much in common its scary. It is very easy for me to love you, and I do love you dearly.

NOW GO BUY ANOTHER HEADSET and get your bloggers butt back to Skyping me (LOL). Seriously! I need my Mangigian fix! ;-)
