The Minion Blur Is In Rare Form Today And It Is Only 2:24 AM EST

The Chaos Of Stephen

I have to admit that there is a part of me that is really fascinated with the mindset of a two year old. Being self directed and easily amused, Stephen has decided he needs to make excursions from his crib in order to collect what he deems to be the necessities for self stimulation. He is making a pile on my leather presentation binder. It appears that the goal is to carry his treasures off by using my expensive portfolio as a minion carrying tray.

So far he has managed to raid the bathroom, my file cabinet, Noah's book-bag, Mike's desk, my drafting table and my work purse. For someone suffering from PDD-NOS, my little dude is curiously observant and knows exactly where to find everything he needs to make his morning very interesting. If I'm lucky, I might be able to get my cell phone back before he speed dials my parents. The last time he called them it was 2:36 in the morning. My Mom was thrilled... I wasn't. (LOL)

Why do children refuse to sleep at the same time? What is up with that?

How adorable and smart... Might have a little genius on your hands...

Christina, wouldn't that be something. He certainly is quirky enough to play the role (LOL).

Posted by C Tann-Starr (Tann Starr & Associates, Inc.) about 10 years ago

How old is he?  Haha, I recognize the candyland card.

Posted by Chris Fisher (Your Virtual Assistant) about 10 years ago

Hey Chris, Stephen is 2.6 years old. Recognized CandyLand, eh? (LOL).

Posted by C Tann-Starr (Tann Starr & Associates, Inc.) about 10 years ago

I was wondering what that Candyland card was - good thing Chris spelled it out!  Stephen seems to be very organized :)

Stephen is a pre-K terror (LOL). My apartment is a wreck. :-)

Posted by C Tann-Starr (Tann Starr & Associates, Inc.) about 10 years ago

That's quite a collection.  He seems to be drawn to the gadgets.  Could that run in the family?  Doesn't your husband cook with some sort of scary gamma ray machine? LOL

Posted by Terri Visser, CRS - 12 Years Selling Central Oregon Real Estate (Desert Sky Real Estate, LLC) about 10 years ago

Lisa, Step is organized for minion mayhem (LOL).

Terri, way too many gadgets and gizmo's! You may be right about that (LOL).

C. Enjoy it while you can. Before you know it, he will be bringing your grandkids to you for you to enjoy. LOL   BELIEVE ME, I KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT.....LOL

Posted by Laura Watts (Positive Properties, LLC) about 10 years ago

Laura, I do believe you. Seriously! ;-)

Now that is funny stuff...high tech and qtips...I love it!

Posted by Midori Miller, Digital Marketing Director (Talk 2 Midori, LLC) about 10 years ago

Midori, that kid is giving me a run for my money! (LOL) He floated my cell in the toilet Friday morning. I've been out of contact for two days! My office went into a panic because I forgot to update my home phone number with them. By the time I got their e-mail I had already missed a potential show appointment

Posted by C Tann-Starr (Tann Starr & Associates, Inc.) about 10 years ago

Midori, come to think if it, you're absolutely right. High tech and q-tips? (LMAO) What a combination to fascinate a child. :-)

Posted by C Tann-Starr (Tann Starr & Associates, Inc.) about 10 years ago

Hi C.

I didn't realize how much we have in common until I read your profile and now this post.  I have a 3 1/2 year old who does the same....he is so clever- he builds ambitious forts, gets in the fridge and makes interesting recipe concoctions and a few months ago he got a screwdriver and screwed off the vents throughout the house.

He keeps me on my toes and makes me think about my own creativity:-)

Sounds like your little guy does the same.

Posted by Rebecca Levinson, Real Estate Marketing and Online Advertising Consultant (Real Skillz-Clear Marketing for Your Real Estate Vision) about 10 years ago

Haaaaaa! Rebecca, Mike was just fussing at Stephen for always walking around with an Allen key or screwdriver trying to take the house apart (LOL).

Posted by C Tann-Starr (Tann Starr & Associates, Inc.) about 10 years ago

I don't understand boys.

Posted by Melody Botting, You Deserve The Best (Broker Associate PenFed Realty) about 10 years ago

Mel, I am surrounded by them. Sometimes I get sooo confused... (LOL).
