Silver Towers, Kew Gardens, Queens County, New York
Located at the corner of Queens Blvd and 83 Street is the Silver Towers. There is a whole row of really cool businesses lined up beneath this wonderful residence and you can see a bit of Manhattan from the upper floors. Cocina Latina is located in the lower center of the picture where the orange sign is. They deliver and happen to be one of my favorite 35 restaurants that do. Stephen is a fixture there. He has a favorite table and hostess. We usually go with my girlfriend Susana and sometimes I meet my clients or other brokers there. Wanna see the inside? Check out the embedded link and enjoy.
Briarwood Cafe, Briarwood, Queens County, New York
If you head away from the Silver Towers walking along Maple Grove Park heading in the direction of Hillside Ave you will see lots of neighborhood shops, foodie paradise spots and a few grocery stores. I like this Key Food because it has a parking lot in the back and they will deliver your groceries if you don't have time to shop yourself. I am also fond of it because on the corner is the Briarwood Cafe. If you ever want to enjoy a nice homemade apple pie topped off with vanilla ice cream after a spanking cheeseburger and fries meal, this is the place to be. It is a small, old fashion, family friendly diner. I love going there with my kids. The food is good, the people are kind and the service is excellent. BTW, they deliver. :-)

C, Homemade apple pie with ice cream, I am Soooo there!!
I just did a post - and a tribute to my subscribers - and realized .....Carolyn wasn't on the list! Weird eh? And yet you comment all the time - anyhow I missed you - but your hubby was there..:-)

Teresa, I love apples too. Noah can't get enough of them either. If we buy a dozen he just keeps going back in the fridge to get another and another. Sometimes I have to really yell at him not to touch them and stay out of my kitchen. Little Man has a very short attention span. 30 minutes later it's like I never said a thing, he's right back in the apples (LOL).
