Club Chaos Eye Candy: 3 County Night Turtle Run

Running up East Houston in Manhattan was pretty cool. Lots of new construction and road work going on.

Turn left off of East Houston onto Broadway and you get some pretty awesome views of the colored lights showcasing famous buildings. I like when the owners love their buildings and go to great pains to make them stand out in the Manhattan skyline.

Make a left onto Centre Street, which is located on the backside of City Hall and adjacent to the entrance for the Brooklyn Bridge. To get on the bridge one would make a right at the light, then turn immediately to the left onto it. :-)

As you come around City Hall to approach the bridge, you get a really nifty view of the Woolworth Building's lights over the roof top.

When you cross over, Pineapple Walk is very close to the Brooklyn Bridge. A few locals were throwing a midnight party in the park. There was music blasting from the Brooklyn Docks, which was a great excuse to bring munchies and hang out while enjoying the water views.

I have a thing for Brooklyn Brownstones. Especially if there is a view of the Manhattan skyline involved...

Pineapple Walk has some very lovely views, especially of the Brooklyn Bridge.

On the way home I had to stop at the bank so I could reward myself with some ice cream when I hit Queens Blvd (LOL).

I'm just waiting for the next James Bond film to come out. Looking forward to posting a movie review. Stay tuned!

My Favorite James Bond portrait I created is of Sean. I promised Susan Mangigian I'd illustrate Daniel Craig next. Looking forward to it. I might even do a portrait with all of the Bonds together (LOL). I hope you enjoyed this turtle run. Regards, C.

Liz, I like the idea and am watching my James Bond DVD collection trying to learn all of their faces. I believe I may be able to pull this off at some point. It's fun sketching them. Maybe I'll counter with a portrait of all of the Bond  women. :-)

Morning C,

Thanks for the walk down memory lane. I my very early years we lived in a beautiful Brownstone. I too have an affection for them to this day.

A collage of the Bond men would be great. Hope you can find the time to accomplish and share the project.

Wait a minute!  You made that portrait?  Wow!  You are so talented!!!!

Carolyn ~ The weather has been so nice I'm not surprised you did a turtle run at night.  Love your portrait of Sean C.!  He's still a good looking man!

C - great eye candy, looking forward to how you juxtapose all of the Bonds. Are you going to include all of the characters who played Bond in the original Woody Allen version of Casino Royale?

Posted by Mike Saunders (Lanier Partners) about 12 years ago

C, I love the Brownstones. We copy them in some townhomes around some master planned town squares we build in our area. Yours are the original ones though.

Hey C ... Great night pics!  Thanks for the shots of Brooklyn Heights ... I lived a block from the promenade on Remsen before I moved up here.  And Manhattan looks stunning as usual.  Fantastic portrait of the original!

I used to live 4 blocks from that bank on Queens Blvd. and I am a huge James Bond fan.  Great portrait btw. As any true bond fan would do I always stop channel surfing once I find a James Bond film regardless where in the movie I tune in.  It drives my family nuts...

Loved the pictures.  Nice evening lights & you can almost hear the sounds.

Good morning Hal, you are very welcome. I know when I do get around to relocating I am soooo going to miss visiting my friends homes. The Brownstones have such character. So do the Victorians and Tudors. I have a thing for Center Hall Colonials. I will definitely be blogging about the Bond project and shall share how the artwork is coming along. :-)

Cher, yes I did and thank you. :-)

Kathy, the weather has been lovely and the boys have been all over the map enjoying the outdoors. I figured I head out and clear my head with a little eye candy (LOL). I'm glad you like the drawing. Sean is a cutie pie, isn't he? What a wonderful actor. :-)

Carolyn - Great shots.  I love your portrait of Sean, you are very talented.

Hi C: You made me feel like I was there. Especially since this was an area I walked the last time in NYC, which was (yikes) a year ago. Thank you for posting these photos. There's a certain sense of emotionalism in those pictures, too.

P.S. I vote for all the Bond boys.

Big Mike, that was a hoot, wasn't it? I remember watching that as a kid and really getting hooked! That was the wildest ride for my little mind to comprehend. What great fun!

Love you pictures of NYC...  And from a fellow "Bond Girl", can't wait for the next Flick - I'm counting the minutes.

Ooohhhhhh! Sean has such beautiful peepers! Good job! I felt like I was right along with you on the run.

Gary, I would love to see pictures of them if you ever find yourself in the vicinity. That sounds very cool. :-)

Posted by C Tann-Starr (Tann Starr & Associates, Inc.) about 12 years ago

Thank you, Marie. I have that on my list of things to photograph. I'm supposed to be meeting my girlfriend over there. :-)

Posted by C Tann-Starr (Tann Starr & Associates, Inc.) about 12 years ago

Josef, that's a lovely area. I must do a turtle run in Ridgewood (and Forest Hills again). BTW, I know what you mean about the Bond fixation. My channel surfing stops on a dime if I see a Bond flick. I don't care if I've watched it 100 times, I will watch it again because I love James Bond! :-)

Posted by C Tann-Starr (Tann Starr & Associates, Inc.) about 12 years ago

Thank you, Kristin. I'm working on a film of all five counties of New York City. We've been collecting footage for weeks now. I've been scoping the monuments and arranging some new music. The kids are getting a kick out of all of the road trips because we eat in a new neighborhood every time we do a shoot.

Thank you, Jennifer, I appreciate your kind words. :-)

Elizabeth, I second the motion. I vote for all of the Bond Boys too and am very glad you enjoyed the photographs. :-)

Debbie, I've been checking for sneak preview listings to make sure I see this right away (LOL). I'm like a little kid with candy when it comes to this franchise. :-)

Thank you, Lizette. I love showing you guys what I see while wandering around on my runs. :-)

C, Had not seen this post. Your "capture" of Sean is outstanding. There is no end to your amazing talent and creativity!
