Have Rock? Will Climb! The Gail Rule is in effect...

Stephen Isaiah and Noah Ezekiel Starr

It's official! I am on a three week vacation. The little minions are running wild at the Queens Zoo. In case you are unfamiliar with The Gail Rule, the object of the game is to not blog about anything except vacation. No turtle runs. No tour of homes. No real estate. Just vacation. I think I could get into this, except I have never done this before and I have to confess that my eyes are already crossed from laughing at the candid shots I am not allowed to show you. Hmm... (LMAO). Imagine getting up close and personal with my family... This should be very interesting, indeed. I never know what my guys are going to do until they decide to do it. We are going to be dragging you guys across the tri-state area and will be migrating somewhere upstate New York this week end. Lots of mini road trips planned for the little people.

The boys are climbers, so we always have to go by the waterfall where the seals are so they can climb the rocks, check out their water antics and enjoy Step's favorite patch of golden flowers. Hands down, if you gave them a choice, their favorite animal would be the black bear. :-)

Here's a little eye candy of Stephen and Noah at the Queens Zoo. Enjoy!

Extraordinary photos as always C and a nice departure from the Turtle Runs. Your boys are such cuties. The yellow flowers are stunning.

Hey there, C!  I guess this answers my Twitter question about how are the minions!  They are active, attractive and amazing as usual.  Just came back from my vacation so I am going to extend mine by following you around yours.  Is that all right with you?

Carolyn, thanks for sharing the zoo with us.  It looks like your boys are having great time.  I like the one where the boys are walking towards the bridge.

Vacation??? What's that? Must be nice. I haven't been on one in forever. Really, I could use one about now. Today was most stressful. Have some fun for me.

Sondra, I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures and that bridge shot is one of my favorites. We have so many zoo sessions I don't know what to do with them all. We are sitting on tickets to the Bronx Zoo right now, not to mention the Museum of Natural History. Tomorrow should be interesting. I have no idea where they are going. It's Daddy's turn to take them out. :-)

Lizette, my love, you are soooo gonna take a day off when I eventually get to Kentucky. There is no way I am running around over there without you, girlfriend. I want to max out on the KY eye candy (not to mention the foodie paradise spots). This should be very interesting... haven't been on vacation, eh? Hmm... (LOL)

Kathy, this is sad but true: very few photographs on the walls, albums everywhere... lots of digital files. Only one painting hanging... My Gallery inventory is literally stacked against a living room wall. I know, I know... (LOL)

Posted by C Tann-Starr (Tann Starr & Associates, Inc.) over 10 years ago

C- I love the pictures.  We went to the Bronx Zoo on Friday.  It was so much fun.  Nathan just adores eery animal.. and Drew thought everyone was a dog.. he was chasing a peacock yelling.. "Doggie, doggie, doggie".  Priceless!!!  Have a great 3 weeks.  I look forward to coming along for the ride.

Laura, I shall try and get someone to take a shot of me with the minions just for you and Robert (LOL). Susan requires that I smile more on-line, so I guess I'd better get this done right the first time. :-D

Deb, too funny! :-D

Posted by C Tann-Starr (Tann Starr & Associates, Inc.) over 10 years ago

C Sally C, you are very welcome. These little people rule! They had a blast and Stephen is really starting to assert himself. Noah dotes on his little brother, which is really lovely to watch. The minions are truly partners in crime and have great fun exploring life together. The zoo is always a treat to my little animal lovers! :-)

Posted by C Tann-Starr (Tann Starr & Associates, Inc.) over 10 years ago

Thank you, Becky. Sounds like your little pookies had a blast as well (LOL).  Looking forward to sharing some interesting moments with the kids and hubby.  :-)

Three weeks off huh?  This should be interesting.  I am glad you are coming up this week.  Lets try for Monday as I have to show houses on Sunday at 3.  Let me know.

Why am I up so late.  Just got back from the Jonas Brothers concert.  I think I just became a fan.  I will tell you why tomorrow.

C - Priceless Photos - You could publish a book with that name, filled with your work.  I can feel you smiling as you take these shots - I know you are laughing at their antics.  Great to see you playin'.

Oh, goody... I do love vacations! :)  I would say something about taking three weeks off, but we've been gone more this summer than I care to admit.  Carolyn, you do have two very adorable boys!

Posted by Jesse & Kathy Clifton, Retired (Jesse Clifton & Associates, REALTORS®) over 10 years ago

C,

Three weeks vacation and you are not coming down to our fair state???  Whats up wit dat?  Not goin way up north to visit wit Mr. Jesse?  I hear he holds fishing classes and loves to be a tour guide and runs a hotel in his spare time.

Oh well, have a great time ma'am and don't be doing too much investigative reading while on vacation.

BTW, the boys look like they are going to keep you very busy!!  Have fun

Hey Paddy-Paddy, you could always leave us in that gorgeous yard of yours while you run out to show houses. I promise we will still be having a picnic in your field when you return. Seriously! You may actually want us to come for lunch on Sunday: having to show homes at 3 PM means Aunt Paddy will have a legitimate excuse to escape on a break from the little minions! I think it's a brilliant plan! (LMAO) Let's do Sunday... please? We're self directed, you do not have to entertain us every minute. I'm a low maintenance friend with high maintenance kids. The ratio cancels itself out. If I bring Noah's 8 year old girlfriend, he will follow her indefinitely. ;-)

(OMG - I can't stop laughing -- what's wrong with me?)

Posted by C Tann-Starr (Tann Starr & Associates, Inc.) over 10 years ago

Virginia, we have been playing with a book idea for two years running. I'm finally getting around to selecting the shots. It's the commentary that's getting me into trouble. I fool around way too much because it's virtually impossible to not laugh "at" and "with" my kids. Every picture tells a story and sometimes I think I am writing, "The Encyclopedia of Crazy." (LOL)

Posted by C Tann-Starr (Tann Starr & Associates, Inc.) over 10 years ago

Thank you, Jesse. :-)

Don, I would suffer from massive mental withdrawal if I couldn't recreational read (ROTFL). I hope to have lots of fun between doing lots of laundry. Will keep you posted, sweetie. :-)

Posted by C Tann-Starr (Tann Starr & Associates, Inc.) over 10 years ago

Julie, thank you, they are certainly something else...  I've choice words for those two. (LOL) Looking forward to sharing their adventures with you. ;-)

Posted by C Tann-Starr (Tann Starr & Associates, Inc.) over 10 years ago

C - thanks for the shots. It will be hard, but don't even think about work while on vacation. Enjoy the downtime and the time with your guys. Maybe you can do a private showing of the candids!

Looking forward to a post about the origins of the Gail Rule

Posted by Mike Saunders (Lanier Partners) over 10 years ago

Mike, now there's an idea. Those candid camera shots are hilarious. I don't want to tick the relatives off, though... Hmm... there is a box check off for posting to associates only, but I digress... (LOL)
