Had a blast at Planet Fitness with hubby and Mona.

I like to work out twice a day if I can figure out how to twist my schedule around everyone else in my life. Today Mike and Mona caught up with me at the gym and we had fun criss-crossing machines. Hubby likes to make fun of my anal retentiveness because I have spiral perforated index cards and record everything I do. I like keeping my rep/weight record in my tiny book because I can match how effective a set and diet combination is. I have fun peeps who are gonna kick my butt on film this Spring so I gotta be able to keep up with them when we schedule a martial arts work out. We're slamming each other around (silly grin).

I host my gal pals when they come down south and they're hosting me when I hit NYC. We sometimes pile up when I visit my parents in SC (which will be very soon - I'm over due for another ActiveRain road trip - LOL).

Wait until you guys get a look at our new spot to play laser tag and paint ball. Girlie-girlie day is gonna be flippin' hilarious when we have our next pajama party at my house. Looking forward to the mutual torture of some very talented peeps. May even YouTube a few sessions. Gotta go. Time for our Skype luncheon. We're plotting and planning what to do to my garage next. The Man Cave needs more work and lots of boy toys (which the girls sometimes play with - evil grin). ;-)

I am very impressed....out of town now but when I get back to home working out is a number one priority....I have managed to be very lazy in that department this year!!!

Deborah, it's so much fun when you have cool gymmates to hang with. My out of state gal pals share their stats and meal plans with me so I've been averaging one to four pounds of weight loss per day. It's almost like social media gym boot camp (silly grin). We sometimes even do our Tai Chi together on Skype. ;-)

I'm pretty good at keeping up my routine but your blog has motivated me to start tracking with a log.  I hope this will stomp out my flaws and errors!

Laura, it's really cool because you can see your progress over time and can tweak your body sculpting goals. I write down the specific machines I'm using, the settings, weights and reps and balance. I always start with the express machines because when I do the entire series every muscle has been covered. Then I go to another area and do all abs and stretching, then I get on the treadmill last and do 1 to 3 miles. When I go back for my second session later in the day I use lighter weights and higher reps for defining or stick with cardio like the stationary bike and/or a step routine. 

The most important thing is to listen to your body and never completely exhaust your muscles. You have to tailor your routine for you and not follow behind others because we all train differently. Target the machines of your choice that cover you from head to toe and run through a set of each to see how you feel. If you're up to round two, do another set of everything. When your entire body keeps moving you actually burn more fat. The mistake a lot of people make is targeting a specific muscle when the fact of the matter is no one can control which fat cell decides to burn. Covering your entire body keeps you balanced as everything starts to shift about little by little. That's why I can consistently take off one to four pounds a day.

Best part? I still eat what ever I want, I just balance the food groups and split it up into 6 smaller meals per day. It forces my metabolism to keep burning. I bet hubby I could get to 145 lbs. I plan on winning that bet without giving up my caffeine and sugar addiction. I eat more fruit with greek yogurt and honey now. I'm driving everyone crazy because I still pack away my steak and snack with the wee people. You do not have to starve to get fit, you simply have to put the work in and keep track of what you're eating while you do it (LOL). ;-)
