If I'm quiet it's because I'm enroute to TX...

On the road again... a fave thing to do. Had to sit shiva with my Jewish friends. "Shiva (Hebrew: שבעה‎) (literally "seven") is the week-long mourning period in Judaism for first-degree relatives: father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, and spouse. The ritual is referred to as "sitting shiva." Immediately after burial, first-degree relatives assume the halakhic status of "avel" (Hebrew: אבל ; "mourner"). This state lasts for seven days, during which family members traditionally gather in one home (preferably the home of the deceased) and receive visitors. At the funeral, mourners traditionally rend an outer garment, a ritual known as keriah. This garment is worn throughout shiva." Wikipedia

Also had to put the car in the shop which left me grounded without wheels for three days (sigh). Needless to say my schedule was shot to Hell in a hand-basket. I'm making up for lost time and missed a couple of events because of it. I shall be a wee bit late landing in Dallas but I will let you guys know when I drive in. I'll post some eye candy along the way because I like invading states and disrupting peoples' days with mischief (LOL).

Bye NYC peeps. See yall next year. I iz gonna be a Tazo tea drinking lemon loaf dunkin' southerner with mah hubby, kids and blogging peeps for a while... I have books to write, paintings to finish, music to make and wee people mayhem to enjoy. We have a yard to landscape, furniture to buy and maaaaaad fuuuuun sleepovers to plan. I'm high-jacking authors and bloggers on this ActiveRain road trip (LOL).

Yup. Book club has gone pajama party mobile. However, I will miss my fave NYC Starbucks stools. ;-)

Nice post, have a safe trip, stop by our office in Austin if you get out this way.

Oooooo I will. Amanda Hall and Melody Botting are the boss of me in TX. I'm spending the week with Melodious and will be hounding the ClubChaos crew like a happy blog puppy when not drooling over my fave authors at Readers and Ritas (silly grin).  Alan and Michele, you've just made my bucket list of people, places and things to do in TX. ;-)

C, have fun in Texas! Post pics of all the fun places you visit! I'll travel voyeuristically. ^_^

Maria, so do I. I am an unrepentant digital voyeur laughing over Facebook vacation pictures all the time. I will post lots of eye candy while on the road. Looking forward to it (and discovering lots of new Starbucks - LOL).

New York is a little lonlier today.

Jesse, I'll be back in a few months. I have to get my visits in and do a few Gallery shows. It's strange not having a routine anymore (sigh). I will have to invent a new one when I get south. SC is covered because I have lots and friends and family there. It's FL that has me stymied. I still don't have a recording studio and may have to become a garage band (LOL). Looks like I have to take three steps back until I can find commercial space and set up new businesses. Real estate school should be a hoot. I have to stop thinking like a New Yorker (is that possible?) and learn how to think and sound like a Florida peep (LOL). My kids have assimilated like the Borg but this old dog has issues (I like my Buggs Bunny accent and may have to keep it - LOL). ;-)
