It takes a lot of work to make a movie...

It takes a lot of work to make a movie...

Besides obsessing over the script I've been in budget meetings, scouting locations, fielding a lot of crazy calls from people trying to attach themselves to the project and making arrangements for private auditions. My best phone conversation today was with the editor of my first book. We're going to start the final edit (chapter by chapter) tonight and if I'm lucky I will make my April 2011 publishing deadline.

I'm trying to turn a three book deal into a five book deal so wish me luck (LOL).

I've got the lawyer part down (thanks to my attorney gal pals) but I may have to get someone to manage me because rumor has it I need a keeper. I'm starting to think my professional friends may be correct on that assumption. If your attorney thinks being managed in a good idea, listen to your attorney. ;-)

Still editing video and making music. Will post to YouTube eventually...

I apologize for not commenting or answering my e-mails sooner. I am on writer's lock-down because I have to make my publishing deadlines. My New York neighbors have shown me a huge kindness by running my errands and feeding me. Seems I've managed to high-jack myself this week and remain incognito only because of the help and support of my closet friends. Smooches and kudos to you guys (LOL).

BTW, I will be under house arrest until I finish my writing project. If I decide to break out of my self-imposed jailing you'll be the first to hear about it. I might even include some pictures. After all, the writing inmates do get yard time, eh?

Besides, I promised my kids to finish showing them Lucy's. I have a cool treat in store for you. Lots of eye candy to come.

Before I go, I have to give a shout out to Nydia Z for making me the best homemade chicken soup ever! You rock! I shall be texting you for more, girlfriend. If you don't have any left I'll be happy to take what ever I can get. I do not feel like cooking tonight. Besides, my editor is waiting and I have a lot of work to do. If I am really lucky I'll be chowing down on some chicken, rice and beans later. Did I mention I am totally into rice and beans? So are the wee people (LOL). ;-)

Glad to see you came up for air! I am wishing you luck in everything you do! I know how much you get done in your 20 minute increments. Can't even imagine your productivity on lock down. Keep on going! Expecting only wonderful things for you.

Thank you, Margaret. Right now I am in invoicing hell. I have been leaving voice messages for people to send me their invoices all morning. I need to pay some personal bills as well so I can get back to writing. Will be recording music in the Poconos soon because my girlfriend is putting her house up for sale later this week. I am hoping to catch up with Susan Mangigian while we are there. :-)
