FB Privacy Breach Issues...

I love Facebook, but sometimes I get really bent out of shape with them. Click the link if you want to discover why I am a wee bit cranky right now... A part of me realizes it's kinda not all of their fault because there are over half a million applications running on FB and they didn't design all of them.

They should have seen this coming. It has happened before...

Yall need to update your privacy settings people and tell your peeps don't be so generous with giving apps permissions to access their "friends information in order to run..." Seriously...

I think I will go over and have a look at the link now. Thanks for the heads up.

Carolyn, the term "Facebook Privacy Breach" is getting to be like the boy who cried wolf.  It's happening so much, that many aren't even looking at the details anymore, and that's a shame.  Thanks for the update

Hi Carolyn... it's getting to be a bit too often, and growing old... isn't it?

Seems like these guys have been having a lot of issues with privacy lately. I'll have to check out the article.

Read the article - it got lots of play in the media too -- and I guess we knew it was coming, didn't we.  I think the best advice as you said is -- ask your friends not to click "and my friends"!

I am having a very interesting time explaining to my relatives why they should not be making family trees over there. Ancestry.com is the best place to do serious FT work, not FB. Giving away information on the living can be a dangerous thing. Identity theft is on the rise... Some people are too careless and carefree about giving away info that does not belong to them.
