Life With Wee People: First On Deck

Stephen, the Blur Minion is going to be fascinating to animate. Little Dude can't read, so the trick is to get him to help us create part of the open house real estate scripts by capturing him on film in as many open houses / by appointment only showings as possible. The kids impressions of homes are going to be live thoughts so I found myself thinking every webisode is probably going to have a Autistic/PDD-NOS surprise (LOL). I love Charlie Brown so we are minimizing the adults (LOL). ;-)

We're thinking our best bet is to make them 6 minutes or less and showcase the real home after the cartoon blurb. My kids already think they are mini-Realtors and habitually run up and down the Eastern seaboard peeking at properties with me so this is going to be mad fun for us. We watch cartoons together everyday so Noah is very excited about the experiment. He really gets it (LOL).

We don't know what our final visual style will be, so the animations may keep changing while we figure it out. In two hours I will be out on the deck having frosties with the shorties and chatting about house theme songs.

Each house has a distinct personality so we're thinking each house should have it's own song.

"The Chocolate House" is live in iTunes and my kids are absolutely wild about Lucy's home (and so am I - I am talking Lady Ga Ga wild - LOL). If the kids behave I may have the final cut for that project processed and posted later today. It's remarkable how a lovely environment can inspire one to create music and art. :-)

Wait until you hear what we cooked up for the Chanukah House listing. Stephen was in awe... He's never seen a home with seven cool distinctive kitchens. Watching my kids make themselves at home and chase Max the Cat was mad fun. BTW, I always wanted to see Al Capone's stove. It's in perfect working order on the lower level. How cool is that? VERY!!!!

We are on the prowl for a cool New York open house. I've sent out a few e-mails to let a couple of brokers know our exact location. The shorties will be helping me do a bit of Dutchess County Localism between recording sessions. Hiking in Lakeside Park happens to be a fave thing to do. I brought our picnic cooler. Did I mention we have toys? We do you know... lots and lots of toys (plus a Spiderman blankie - LOL). ;-)

Good morning Carolyn! Love that the kids are following neatly in your footsteps! LOL

Are both links supposed to go to the same house?

Oooops - just fixed the other link, Connie. :-) Lucy's house: http://activerain.com/blogsview/1721247/westminster-contemporary-live-like-you-are-on-vacation-all-year-round-

Connie, there are days when I think the best part of work is having the kids in tow (when they behave - LOL). They are interested in everything we do and really like visiting open houses. I think it started with their first offer of milk and cookies (plus getting to help feed turtles, puppies and goldfish while playing in other yards every week kinda helped sealed the deal). ;-)

C.....great stuff.  I love kids and hanging with them.  It's so awesome.   EVery step you do, you are mentoring them....either good or bad!  Keep up the good work!

What a great idea - on many levels.  Anything with a Spiderman blankie is sure to be a winner!

Larry, we are having a blast runing amok with the Nikon.

Irene, thank you. I get to hang out with Rainers, make music, randomly invade states, preview listings then share lots and lots of food after (LOL). The kids now walk up to me and say "time to take pictures" and get their  windbreakers, shoes and schoolbags. Shorty just brought me both cell phones because he knows they belong in the "go bag." I keep telling them it's not time to go yet. We have to pack a lunch first. Their response:"drive through?" "french fries?" "Mc-Dom-A-Mals?" "Hurger King?" (Yeah, they're both in speech therapy - LMAO).

Oh boy I can't wait to see this project and am so happy my Chocolate house and my Chanukah house will be your subject. You are an amazing woman with unlimited creativity and energy!

Margaret, more like a working mom trying to keep her kids entertained while in tow (LOL). They are having mad fun at Joey's while I sit here manually entering UPC codes and jotting down EANs. I am having a problem uploading to Pandora. The bar codes are not pulling the product data from Amazon. I am trying to rectify this and am in e-mail hell trying to get business answers on a Saturday. Woe is me... (LOL) ;-)

It's amassing what you can find if you look for it!

Look what I stumbled across. I love it!

ROTFL! I miss working on that Mac (LOL). Bill, the goal has always been to get Stephen to dance. Dude was totally into dancing on the table if you made a song he liked. Shorty had his air guitar moves down since the age of two. We still have that table.  :-D
