Life With Wee People: The Toy Invasion
You know you are anal retentive and sleep deprived when you accurately calculate the ratio of toys to recording equipment paraphernalia is 12.56433 to 1 (LOL). I have been sitting on the floor in Joe's computer room processing photographs and editing digital film while wondering when I am going to finish mastering my second album so I can stop work and go play.
I love going up the mountain. There is so much fun stuff to do in the foothills of Dutchess County, however, my playtime has to wait because the DC and MD footage needs some new music so I have to get that completed before the wee people roll off of the futon and the toy invasion begins.
They like to take the laptop and squabble over Netflix selections while they play. Since the kids sequenced the video time-lines yesterday after school when we popped in for dinner, I now have to sync the audio before breakfast because Stephen wants to feed the ducks at the pond in the backyard and it's Noah's turn to surf the net. Noah is very particular about his "to do" lists and taking turns. Teaching them to share means I am not allowed to pull rank as The Mommy (LOL).
Joe's deck is on my list of fave outside offices. The fun thing about having a mobile office is you can work anywhere you want while enjoying a lovely view (and tasty food - LOL).
We have so much fun that sometimes I have to remind the shorties that I am actually working. My car is starting to resemble a rolling Toys-R-Us and if you asked my kids they would casually declare that the editing, photography, video and recording equipment is also part of their toy collection for them to (a) take pictures, (b) YouTube play-dates and/or (c) "do ABA" (ABA equals "Applied Behavioral Analysis" occupational therapy exercises / homework - LOL).
Yeah... I know... bad mommy blogger. First I get them to work for M&Ms with peanuts and now I give them "homework" because they love school (LOL). Wait until they learn how to read... I bet Mr Autism and Mr PDD-NOS are going to start their own audio/visual blogs. They love social media. ActiveRain, Google, Skype and YouTube are their fave on-line spots when they are not giggling in Facebook and squabbling over Netflix. ;-)

I have been blogging with my 2 year old grandson this afternoon.......I've been showing him pics of your boys and he is getting a major kick out of them!
The 6 year old has loved to surf YouTube since he was 4... BUT, someone has to sit with him the whole time or he will wind his way into things he shoudn't see... bikini chicks, people doing stupid things or country music videos...
