Cars 2 is coming for 2011... Cool!
Besides not having a lick of furniture in my naked guest room, we have to start making decisions regarding what to do about the minion zone. I'm thinking Cars 2 and Despicable Me are going to rule this bedroom. Have you seen Despicable Me? FANTASTIC MOVIE!!!!! You must go. My entire family loved it. Seriously. We are soooooooo into eye popping 3D flicks. :-)
Check out the Despicable Me website here: http://www.despicable.me/despicableme-video.html
My kids love the Cars franchise. We are also rooting for The Incredibles to be a franchise. The Incredibles was an amazing, beyond hip and cool boat load of eye popping fun that I have been waiting for a part 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 for. I am into witty, ironic banter and simply love this movie (and dress my kids in their tee shirts) http://disney.go.com/disneyvideos/animatedfilms/incredibles/
Since it's the minion zone, we let them pick their own stuff out (which can get tricky -LOL). Aunt Mona gifted them twin headboards since Mikey brought them sturdy, super bouncy beds (LOL).
To your left is Stephen, the Minion Blur wrapped in his favorite Sponge Bob blankie on top of his favorite Thomas the Train comforter with his fave yellow car parked next to a Motor Trend magazine. Since my four year old can not read, Motor Trend is the perfect magazine to buy my little hot wheels car fanatic. It has lots and lots of gorgeous car eye candy to keep the wee one occupied for hours on end. He likes to match his hot wheels cars with the Motor Trends pictures and sometimes that means we usually spend a few hours per week being told that we have to go car shopping because we need to buy "this one" from the magazine at Target, Toys R Us, The Melboure Square Mall or Walmart (LOL).
It appears that after being introduced to thousands of hot wheels cars by a very serious collector, matching the color is no longer a viable option for the Minion Blur. We now need specific makes and models to please our little minion or suffer the wrath of Stephen Puppy playing bad doggy (LOL).
Did I mention he's really good at playing a bad dog? Hmm... I think Little Dude needs a day job that pays a wee bit more than his current M&M wages (LOL). Thank goodness for the Disney Cars website because it is the perfect distraction for bad doggy minions: http://disney.go.com/cars/
If Pixar does Nemo 2 and the next The Incredibles I bet you a bagel this room will have to be decorated all over again. In the meantime it would be nice if I got started by actually buying some furniture. A chest of draws would be useful... so would a desk... (in our room as well because I am still blogging on the floor - LOL).
So far our house guests have not minded having to sleep on the living-room couch, Thomas the Train and Toy Story. Cool! ;-)
