Stafford Va has a really cool Comfort Inn on Garrisonville Road
I just saved it as a fave on my TomTom. The kids liked their room so much they didn't fall asleep until after 3 AM this morning. Nothing like being able to nuke your french fries and drink a cold smoothie at odd hours of the morning on a whim. Now I have to go find something entertaining for them to do in VA. We missed breakfast because we didn't wake up until 10 minutes ago.
I woke up surrounded by hot wheel cars, a safari and toy story action figures. My butt has a imprint of Woody's cowboy hat as a temporary skin embed. Shorty managed to balance a hot wheel car against the bridge of my nose over the corners of both eyes. Geez... I can't believe I slept through that. Then again, 280 plus miles with kids in tow can be exhausting (LOL).
Check out is at 12. We're going to look through their things to do brochures, get a map and collect some video eye candy.
We have some video from Erica Ramus's house in PA (which is gorgeous, just like her). I figure when the kids are climbing on Papa's tractor in SC I'll have a chance to edit Stephen playing "puppy" and Noah doing his usual scooter experiment. He likes riding down hills, among other things...
I promised the kids Disney. I hope it doesn't rain the entire time we're down there like it did on our last visit. I do not want a soggy RainCamp. I want to have fun in Orlando with and without my shorties (LOL).

Carolyn, I have liked Comfort Inns along my road journeys. Enjoy your trip. Sounds like great fun.
Wordy, It was hard to finsh this being distracted by Woody's cowboy!Bill
8>)They didn't take a photo of you sleeping with the Hot Wheel car on your nose? Hey, why don't you guys swing by and pick me up on your way to Orlando? JK......I can't go this time. Boo Hoo!
C - Glad to see you're all having a good time so far. What did you end up buying for the new nephew? LOL
CTS - ahh the fun of a road trip...oh yeah you have the kids with you that can be fun too.
Drive safe (don't run over any Hot Wheels) and enjoy.
SO SO THANKFUL you did stop by! It was wonderful to meet you in person. And now that I've had those same cars in my living room floor I can picture them putting the cars on your face while you sleep.
Have a great trip!!!
PS--At 3 am? You have the patience of a saint.
Those kids someday will look back and realize that.
Gary, the boys did a war dance on top of the cars when we got to my parent's house (LOL). They have been stripping down and running amok. I want to take them to Myrtle Beach but they don't want to leave the tractor. :-)
LOL @ Bill. :-D
Ann, I've been hiding the iPod Nano. Ever since they caught me doing my bathroom ritual I have been keeping recording devices out of their hands (LOL). BTW, I would love to swing by!!!! We have to plot and plan my first invasion of Alabama (or you can come to FL and stay with us). I will call you at a more decent hour to see what we can cook up. It's a wee bit early to be ringing people. ;-)
Connie, my gorgeous nephew is still waiting for my boys and Mike to pick something out. Auntie says give the shorty some money but Stephen wants to go car shopping. :-)
LOL @ Josef. I am temped to flatten a few of those... I know, I know, bad mommy blogger (LOL).
Erica, I am thankful he didn't empty the entire collection from one end of your house to the other (LOL). The boys had a blast and are referring to your home as "the bubblegum house." They only give nick names to people and places that they really, really like so I am a very happy camper. Looking forward to bringing your virtual nephews back for another visit and to introduce them to miniature golf. They have no idea what that is. I feel as if we're about to engage in a "mad experiment" (LOL). :-)
Margaret, I love you. Now leave those people alone. I am happy to be staying at the chocolate house. I "unsubscribed" from their e-mail and wont be using their services any longer. That's enough for me. Seriously. :-)
