Bummer... I need a new camera... Noah drowned it in Stephen's beach bucket.

The ritualistic sacrifice of the electronics usually falls under Stephen's quirky PDD-NOS purview,  however, Noah got the bright idea to give all of his fave toys a bath. That included drowning my Nikon in a blue pail of water. There may also have been Sprite involved (LOL). I do see a crap load of Ajax all over the bed (sigh). This will be a very brief hello because I have to go clean a huge mess...

I also have to find another Nikon...

I lost all the images on the drive but the simm card seems to be working...

We went upstate on Friday and had a great visit with Paddy Pizappi and her family. We played hookie to go see a play... then got stuck in traffic... then used her 11 acres like our own personal playground. Stephen thinks she lives in a park and her home is the "Happy House."

Noah: "Where are we going?"

Me: "To see Paddy Pizappi."

Stephen: "Daddy Happy?"

Me: "Paaaaaaaaadeeeeeeeeeee Peeeeeeeezzzaaaaaaaaappeeeeeeeeee."

Stephen: Paaadeee Happy.

Me: "We are going to Paddy Pizappi's house."

Stephen: "Yes... The Happy House..."

Me:"Yes baby. The Happy House."

Never argue with a speech delayed four year old when he makes a valid observation. Pizappi equals happy in his book and Margaret Rome equals The Chocolate Car (LOL).

That reminds me of the time my four year old son thought he would help me fill up the gas tank on my Triumph Spitfire...with a garden hose. I got about half a mile from the house before the water hit the carburetor and the car came to an inglorious, shuddering stop. Kids are great for generating stories.

Hi C Tann,  Kids will be kids!!!  It's part of the cycle, we all probably did something like that ourselves, but we try to forget it!!!  The technology has gotten so sophisticated, you will end up buying a better camera at a lower cost!!!  ;>))

Ann Marie, I hope so. I loved that camera. Now I have to comparison shop on-line and see what's out there. I know I'm buying another Nikon, I just don't know which model and when. Maybe by Monday or Tuesday. :-)

C Tann,

Kodiak has an underWATER PROOF camera for around $150. Just a thought.

Hi Carolyn... I have to tell you, I read these posts about your boys and my initial reaction is always falling down laughter followed extreme respect for you in consideration of the patience and grace with which you handle these situations.  What a great mom you are!  :)

I love being referred to as the Chocolate Car. Just pleased to be remembered by your wee ones. So sorry about your camera!! Can you put it in a bag of rice... which sometimes works with a cell phone?

Steve, blog post thgerapy has been very helpful when they start to stress me out (LOL). ;-)

LOL @ William. Sprite, Ajax and water make a very interesting "cleaning" agent. :-)

Margaret, I have come to terms with the fact that my poor Nikon has bit the dust... It is a prop for Elmo now (LOL).

Ouch with the camera there Carolyn. Maybe you should invest in the waterproof type with the rascals?

Gary, I am seriously considering this option. I have been all over the Internet window-cybershopping.
