Okay... Done Playing Hookie With My Internet-less Family (LOL)

Carolyn Tann-Starr 2010

Oh my God -- have you ever tried being a social media diva on vacation with no WiFi and Air Card connection? I was foaming at the mouth with some bad hotel/motel lack of digital action when I wasn't drooling in a stupor because I have family members who don't even have dial up.

Is hide-the-modem a new way of getting quality time with a digital junkie? Hmm... Too bad I discovered fun ways of torturing them with all that free vacation time I had on my hands (LMAO).

Stay tuned for the vacation re-cap. Just got back to NY. We did the east coast twice. Had to. I have two minions. One got to play TomTom going down while the other bossed me around on the way back. Gotta go YouTube and Facebook my simm cards. Got tractor driving minions, truck stop munching minions, landscaping minions, beach minions, crazed for whip cream minions, SC / FL house minions...

Lots and lots of I-95 eye candy. First we need Chinese food delivered from our fave Japanese kitchen (LOL).

I love NY. They deliver in my neighborhood late night. I can have Italian at 2AM if I want it. Yeah... I want to not cook after driving 1,157.4 miles twice. Gotta get the shorties in the shower.

We even saw some Rainers along the way. Will blog about that bit of fun as well.:-)

It's good to be home. I missed you guys and have to answer a lot of e-mail. Wont that be fun? May do it in public between spoofing about my digital withdrawal. I like sharing vacation adventures. We stopped at Plum Beach in Brooklyn just before hitting Queens County. Sunset on the water is always a nice moment to share. ;-)

Welcome back and can just imagine how good it feels to be home after driving 1,157.4 miles twice with a your shorties in the car.  I'm stiff after just 100 miles.

I am glad you made it back safely but I am miffed you didn't call me.  I am your mother you know!

C Tann,

Welcome back, we missed you too. I'm glad you enjoyed your "windshield time" at least.

Love the pictures but I have to admit I get twitchy without wifi for any length of time too lol.  I'll be looking forward to hearing of your adventures.

Despite the whole no internet thing, which would make me NUTZ, or more NUTZ, my guess is you had a great time with your 3 kids. I didn't realize Sponge Bob was your son, wow! How cool is that! I love Sponge Bob and am totally guilty of watching him. :D

Welcome home, you were missed!

Sara, more like digital junkie addicted to blogging who really freaks out when not connected to her peeps (LOL).

Deborah, isn't it strange when the satellite can't find your air card and GPS? It rained like crazy and the cloud cover had me freaking out a few times on the highway. One minute I was chatting with Melodious on my cell following a GPS arrow and the next I was screeching about my TomTom being on the blink (LOL).

Lora, my knees and butt start to hurt after the 900 mile mark (I know, I know - too much information - LOL). ;-)

Mel, my love, just called Mikey and was about to call you when I saw how late it was and changed my mind. Cells had to go on the recharge. Sorry lovely. :-)

Rich, we have to catch up on our next run down. Had the kids in Bel Air, MD this afternoon. That was fun. :-)

Christie, my left eye starts to twitch when I get really aggravated so I get you (LOL).

Dr Stacey, I may need therapy after this trip (LMAO). It was mad fun except for the funeral...

ROTFL @ Andrea. We have SpongeBob triplets living in two residents and a car. My kids offered them food,  shelter and clothing. Now they wont leave and have the nerve, the audacity, the unmitigated gall of hogging two Netflix accounts. My kids want to be fry cooks (LOL). ;-)

Sounds like you all had a great time! Can't wait to see more :)

Morning Jackie. My YouTube of their tractor lessons is uploading. My Dad and I had fun teaching them how to drive. We locked it in the lowest gear for them and taught them how to cut the grass. They did very well. We are teaching them how to be farmers, do landscaping and become miniature real estate agents (LOL). Work is the new play for the wee people (LMAO). ;-)

Posted by J. Philip Faranda, Broker-Owner (J. Philip Faranda (J. Philip R.E. LLC) Westchester County NY) over 10 years ago

LOL @ J Philip. I shall have to call you. Taking the shorties upstate to see Aunt Paddy next weekend. Overdue for lunch with the Pizappi family. Gotta call Sandy Felton too. I keep passing her on the way to Pawling. :-)

Ann, I was very tempted to sneek off to Alalama while in Florida (LOL). We gotta catchup. I miss you. :-)

Carra, will post new pics and more film later today. :-)

Thank you, Alan. Good to be home. :-)

Amy, we did a lot of neat things. Will show you guys our bird house and butterfly spot. If they were not at a pool or beach they were digging in the dirt planting and weeding. Stephen's daily highlight was pulling up the solar lights to rearrange them (which drove me nuts - LOL). :-)
