Life With Wee People: Shoe Fetish   (Been To Famous Footwear Lately?)

Famous Footwear (Phillips at Sunrise, Store #1790)

5500 Sunrise highway Ste 3C Massapequa, NY 11758 (516) 797-1680

I love this store. The service is excellent and they are really sweet to the wee people. One of my gal pal works there so when ever there is a sale I know all about it.

Psst... there's a major sale going on right now. I'm talking Nike with $5.00 stickers on their boxes. If you are a mom with crazy kids like mine who know how to ruin/run through clothes this is the sale for you. Can't make it? Get a friend to play personal shopper. Make sure you pick one with excellent taste (LOL).

Guess what happened today? Shorties got new shoes from my personal shopper. 7 pair.We are all happy campers because I had to work and couldn't make it. I put my request in yesterday and got a lovely selection delivered to my door. Did I mention I love my friends? I do. Very much.

It takes a village to raise a kid and I am a happy member of a very quirky tribe of helpful, working professionals. I can not imagine life without my gal pals and don't want to. My kids are just as much in love with them as I am. They even take a few of my friends a lot more seriously than they take me so it's great having them around in an Autism/PDD-NOS pinch (LOL). Matter of fact, I am taking a break from doodling a portrait right now and shall blog about one of my friends who is helping out by modeling for my gallery show. I think you will really like her and shall post about it later because I have to chase down a pair of New Balance and put them back in their box before they get painted by a mischievous artist weilding one of my paint brushes (LOL).

Little Man is mooning over the shoes and wont leave them alone. Stephen has been sporting every color and size like it's his mission to conduct a fashion show and we, his audience, must be held hostage to the commentary of a obsessed 3 year old. He likes them all better than candy (and my kid rarely turns down eating chocolate - yeah - I tried to trade - LOL). Especially the ones that are way too big for him. Dude is practicing his clown walk (LMAO).

I suppose it's time for me to complain because every time I turn around there's a Nike, K-Swiss, Sneaux, New Balance, or DC Shoe littering my futon. If I gather them up I immediately get yelled at by a little person with a disproportionately big mouth who is using them as spaceships for plastic animals to fly in when he isn't mixing and matching them on his own toes. He just passed me again with a pair hanging around his neck (LOL).

I am going to send him to his father in the other room because I give up. It appears that Stephen, the Blur Minion, has a shoe fetish... I kinda don't blame him because these are kinda cool...I just don't want him to think that it is okay to play with shoes because the Blur Minion is known for conducting scientific experiments and we just got these in (LOL). It would be nice if they made it through the Summer. :-)

I may be hanging out in Massapequa tomorrow. The sale isn't over yet... Who wouldn't want a pair of $49.99 K-Swiss for $5.00 for their wee people. Seriously... I'm looking to buy a size up in preparation for their destruction. ;-)

Bob & Carolin, we are definitely buying the next sizes up. :-)

Greg, it makes me wish I was a kid because I'd buy one of everything left for that price. This from a woman who owns five pairs of shoes (LOL). :-)
