Proxy Errors Got You Down? Go Get Some Good Eats. Smile. Smack The Computer Later...

One of the things I love is the fact that there are great restaurants in New York City that stay open 24 hours a day. My gal pal Cindy T introduced me to this Korean place in Flushing that is really really cool and operates continually. I've only had one meal there so I'm not publishing the address until I make up my mind if I like it or not. I figure when we hook up for our next late night snack I'll probably have a better idea of how to express my impressions of the place. So far my dish impressed me enough to sit here for 45 minutes trying to upload pictures so we can chat about it. While I teeter on the brink of social media withdrawal I shall order lunch and have it delivered while the technical people sort out those 502 proxy errors that have been driving me crazy.

I need a distraction and you guys know how much I like working my way through the restaurant menus (LOL). If you have a fave foodie paradise spot to eat at feel free to share a link so I can check out your fave dishes and food porn. Here's mine: Beef Tofu Stew (mild) with lot of side dishes (LOL).

When you are a frustrated writer looking to feed your blogging addictions it helps to have intellectually drop dead gorgeous minds to share witty banter with. Chicka is mad funny. She's another Rainer on my agenda who needs to be taken hostage and made to write a blog post. Seriously (LOL).

Being a dear brick and mortar gal pal dragged into the blogging arena (and Stephen's other Godmother) I've been cutting her some social media slack because I love her dearly and we spend most of our time giggling away regarding all manner of topics. When we hit Boston we shall be writing a couple of restaurant reviews together. I guess I can wait until then.

Nothing like WiFi and dueling laptops to make a road trip fun. ;-)

You are so right about food and NY.  There is no type of food you cannot get in the City and the quality of the restaurants is outrageous.  i have an online subscription to Zagats.

I love Korean food. Can't say I'm wild about the tea because it tastes like fritos. But the spicier the food, the better for me. I can fill up on those all those little bowls of stuff before I ever get to the main entree.

This is so cool. An older woman going to a younger school to learn the art of cooking. She makes you feel like you are there. I feel her frustration. Seriously. Check this out:

Ever wonder what people are thinking in the kitchen? This blog post fascinated me. :-)

Liz, I can't imagine not having my fave foodie paradise spots to eat at. :-)

Elizabeth, this place may make my personal short list. I have to try more dishes first. They have some seriously scpicy dishes here. :-)

C - great idea.  Love the post - you are so lucky in NYC!!  Food first smack later...  cute.

Seriously though I'm bummed because I really wanted to get on the hyperlocal challange that Bob had going but was just getting so frustrated with the errors that I had to let it go.  Drats!  I think I need a nice long walk...

Thanks for letting me know what to do but why didn't I get an invite to meet you for lunch?  The menu looks really good.

Hey I've been lucking out for the most part of the lovely proxy errors today - not toooooo many - ok one is tooooo many.  I should have thought about the food trips a whole lot earlier - like maybe a month ago.  Good to sooth what ails the proxy erroy syndrome!  And I've had it BAD BABY BAD!

I went for a walk instead. I thought the proxy errors were behind us but it took me forever to post today. Oh well, there are worse things in life!

Just about time to pull a pizza out of the oven and watch a little college hoops. Then I can get back to writing. Actually posting may be another matter.

It's almost 11 PM and now I'm hungry for some reason.

So cool C... Wish we had 24-hour restaurants here.  Tried to get a cheeseburger (doesn't compare to your healthy choice menu) at one of my fav drive-thru here at 7:30pm, and they were already closed for the evening.  So, I went to 31 Flavors instead, which really took my mind off anything Proxy!  Have a great evening :)
