Six Words Of Freedom: I Am Going To The Mall (LOL)

I have an 11:45 scheduled for today and then I am going to the mall to find storage boxes and replace a rug. I may replace two if I find something reasonable. Yesterday, the shorties had a challenging time dealing with bubbly booties so I have to make it up to them with a nice surprise: Get Well Toys. :-)

Target has leather storage boxes that double as ottomans. I'm going to give each shorty their own box so they can put their toys away (and sit, stand, dive off into the futon and what ever else they envision ottomans would make good wee people use for).

I hear they are very sturdy and cost $60. They certainly look nice on-line. I may buy one for myself as well. I figure Stephen will be building bridges across them because everything in my home eventually becomes a roadway. He drives cars, trains, remote controls, shoes, spoons (and all kinds of stuff) all over the house. Imaginative play is a beautiful thing.

I hope the manufacturer who put these puppies together envisioned wee people encountering their product.

They are about to be minion tested. Wont that make an interesting product review (LOL).

A good friend of mine who works as a lieutenant detective for the Montreal police force has a great saying for going to the mall: "OK, I'm off to shop my emotions!"  Love it!  Love your post too. -- Tanya in Montreal

Good luck at the mall today, at least this beats shopping during the Christmas season.

C - My six words are "I'm heading to the golf course." Good luck at the mall. Will you also be using yours to dive off of onto the futon?

C- I use the leather box from Target for all of the Wii games and gadgets. It makes life a little easier. Good luck.

The ottomans are great. You're going to love having them AND everything will seem so much neater. LOL

Hi guys! We've been in the street since I picked them up from school. Noah had a great photo session in the rain today. The snow is still melting so the rain made everything nice and shiny. We like shiny! (LOL) Got the ottomans and the kids love them. One is empty because Stephen thinks his stuff should be with Noah's. Gotta work on that. They chucked movies, the remotes to the cable boxes and televisions in there. Stole my paint brushes and collected the small canvass panels to hoard as well. I see Doritos. Hmm... (LOL). I'm thinking toy box. They're thinking fave treasures and snack-age. Changing their minds may take a while  (LOL).

Connie, neat will make Mikey very happy (LOL). My kids call pull every toy out in less than 20 minutes. They routinely empty portions of the bookshelves as well. Stephen will dump an entire row of classics to park one prized hot wheel car. :-)

Kathy, they are cool and useful. I should have done this earlier. :-)

Lizette, I am going to love, love, love following you around in KY, girlfriend (LMAO). ;-)

Liz, I do too. Noah is pretty serious about selecting items but Stephen tosses in anything he can reach that's colorful (LOL).We were picking up jeans and tees for Noah and Shorty started snatching bikinis to add to the pile. I didn't notice at first, but then he proudly held one up and loudly announced, "pink!" I think my cheeks turned red when I saw the other stuff (ROTFL).

Ann, will they ever recover from trouble? (LMAO) They seem to be doing well regarding my last couple of posts. If you speak with my gal pal Susana she will inform you that the boys threw items at her inclusive of a football, Noah's right shoe and a bottle of vitamin water. I was driving at the time so all I could do was yell at them to stop and demand they apologize. Noah said sorry but Stephen laughed. Step later hit me with three different choo choos. I took away the TV and computer as punishment so they are climbing all over each other (when they are not hanging off of me) while I type this on the futon trying to keep them in bed. I may have to log off and hold them down to keep them under the blankie. A cuddle would be nice. I hope I don't fall asleep while trying to get them to sleep because when I fall asleep first a disaster is always potentially in the making. :-)

Linda, that is so cool. Hubby and I are thinking of getting a Wii for the shorties (when they are less destructive - LOL).

Big Mike, if I dive across the furniture it is usually because I've been tackled or am being chased by my crazy kids. There is a distinct possibility that that may actually happen (ROTFL). ;-)

Thank you Malcolm and very, very true. :-)

Tanya, I bet the three of us would have a field day if we went to shop our emotions (LOL). That sounds like mad fun - better than a spa day (ROTFL). Poor hubby. ;-)

Hi C!  I've seen those ottos used for staging but, haven't purchased one yet.

And, bubbly bums--now, THAT'S a new one for me--and I was a nurse for 20 years!!  LOL

You oughta post a product review, C. You never know who could be googling for storage boxes and run across your review. Not to mention, it would help other busy moms like yourself decide whether or not to buy them. I mean, $60 ain't cheap for a storage box.

A product review does seem to be in order (LOL). We're having a field day with them. Stephen has decided he likes to drive and dumps everything out so he can sit in it with his Thomas the Train collection and my tennis racket as a steering wheel. He's a cute little bugger. The bridge making has been very creative. I shall have to do a post (LMAO). :-)

Anna, they've been great. True to form they run across the futon, leap to the couch to run across that, then then play stepping stones with the boxes, hopping from box to box. They are very quick so filming that may take a while because I am usually trying to get them to stop (LOL).

Debe, we have three and I am seriously considering getting another one. I brought the cubes but they have rectangular and round ones. :-)

Elizabeth, that is a nice chuck of change for a box but so far I'm pretty thrilled with them. They cracked the plastic lids off the clear storage boxes on the first day. I figure I need something tough with decent lids. Padded seats make a nice addition. Stephen likes to shove two together and lay across them to watch TV. Noah likes to take the lids off and use them as pillows on his bed (LOL). The side ridge isn't soft so I can't figure that one out at all but he does it every day now.

Carra, we have one in progress now but shorty likes to destroy them so I shall see what I can do about distracting him long enough to get a picture. :-)

Nu Nu, I shall take you up on that. I love walking the malls. Never know what you're gonna find. :-)

Candyland, they make really cool and useful storage seats. To keep the shorties from dumping out the content of my box I moved it in front of a bookshelf to beside the couch and plopped a brass lamp on it. Not quite an end table, but they would never move the lamp to lift the lid so I am a happy camper (LOL).
