The Autistic Photography of Noah E. Starr: Holy Cow Playground From The Eyes Of A Child

TLW, this is for you. Your grand-minions send their love, hugs and kisses. We hope to see you in February. I gave Noah my Nikon today and let the boys play TomTom and Photographer. We didn't have far to go. They made a bee line for one of their fave spots and I had a wonderful time watching Noah explore with the camera. He's going to make a wonderful photographer. Stephen was a pip. He kept shooting the ground (LOL). I took some cell phone videos of him working with the camera and will post my thoughts about that later.

Here is some wee people eye candy. Holy Cow Playground from the eyes of a child...

Kids doing Localism. I bet you didn't see that one coming (LOL). ;-)

These pictures are great. My three year old son loves taking pictures. Last year we used a picture he took for our wedding invite.

Awesome. Ellie, I use the picture Noah took of me as my blog profile pic. It is also on my business cards. :-)

My kids love my camera! Thanks for sharing. :0) The eyes of children are a blessing.

C...thanks for sharing the photos.  I love the name "Noah" and he has such a sweeeeet face.

Hey Carolyn!  Your minions are as much fun as you!  Great shots and you certainly did have a beautiful day to go to the playground.

Have a great evening too...

Carolyn, he looks like he's learning a new trade and having fun at the same time!

Please tell the photographers that numbers 4 and 11 (start with 1 below adorable photo at the top) took my breath away- great shots, guys- love 'em!

The kid's got talent, C.  I especially like the one with the orange bottle cap.  You just know he thought about that one.

Posted by Jane Peters, Los Angeles real estate concierge services (Home Jane Realty) almost 11 years ago

LOL @ Rebecca. Shorty with the grin is Stephen, the Minion Blur. Noah was behind the camera and actually got a few shots off with Step still in the frame. That was fun to watch. Little bro is quick on his feet. He likes to run, dance and skip all over and didn't pause for his close up (LOL). :-)

Lindsey, the eyes of a child really are a blessing. My guy pies don't talk as much as their peers but they are making progress. The cool thing about handing them my cameras is what they choose to focus on. Noah will walk around looking through the viewfinder at everything before finally taking a shot. Sometimes he walks forward and backwards because he doesn't want to use the zoom, so he positions himself as a manual zoom to take the shot (LOL).

Debe, the boys are a lot of fun and love electronics. I really think Noah is going to be great at photography. He's totally into it. Stephen leans more towards video but he loves looking at pictures. :-)

Connie, I have them convinced they are mini-Realtors in training (LOL). They are embracing music and art as well and Noah lives for YouTube. I am having a lot of fun watching them explore and document their fave places. They enjoy seeing themselves and the neighborhoods they know on-line.

Laurie, I shall compliment the wee people on your behalf. Thank you. :-)

Jane, I remember wondering what the heck he was obsessed about because he kept walking in circles (LOL). I didn't even realize it was there until I saw the shots. I remember thinking what a neat off centered visual. I like the colors... They both like patterns and textures and Noah seems very aware of the play of shadows. I have 37 pics from him and he spent quite a bit of time shooting objects forming shadows. If it is nice tomorrow I am going to take them out again and see what they decide to photograph. :-)

C - but wait! these aren't copywritten! ;)

He's a great looking boy. Hope all is well up there for you and your family.

C, he is a photographer already. Perhaps you he should be selling these! I readily admit to knowing nothing about autism, you have clearly found things that not only are fun for him, but that he is truly talented in.

Kids see magic. There's no other way around it. Awesome pics...and you, my dear, are an awesome mom.

Great photos from the young one. The world through a child's eyes is pretty amazing. So often we just don't consider it.

C, Some of those photos are better then mine!  What a wonderful thing to teach the children!  I think I was always so afraid of my kids dropping the camera it's the one thing I didn't allow them to do :(

Love seeing young talent encouraged! No throwing or flushing cameras, right?

 Is his middle name Ansel?

I'm seeing a budding Ansel Adams there.  Keep him 'focused' and he will be just fine.  (yeah - bad pun)  :)

The pictures are great! My son is 14 and has had a camera in his hands since he's 4. The last picture is my favorite! :)

C-Tann - Great Post!!!  I'm sure this made TLW's day and I love "localism" from a child's perspective.

I would love to take these guys with me when I'm looking for photo opportunities......I could benefit from their fresh perspective of things.

I didn't realize that you profile pic was taken by Noah.  He is so good!

We just got back from a massive eye candy hunt. The boys and I ran the streets for 4 hours. Will recap my day later, then will make another Localism post with Noah's new shots of Cunningham Park. They are really quite lovely. I filmed him doing this shoot as well. I need to get to Facebook and post some video so I can embed it here. :-)
