Running With Your Eyes Closed

How do little kids do that? They zip around, map out an area then act as if they have radar (LOL). Dude thinks running with his eyes closed is a super power (LMAO).

Carolyn Tann-Starr 2009

I was waiting for shorty to do his Napoleon pose. That's always fun (LOL).

Carolyn Tann-Starr 2009

Watching Stephen run his version of a marathon around the Planetarium was mad fun. Especially when he closed his eyes and started skipping backwards (LOL). Kids... ya gotta love 'em. They frolic so well... :-)

Carolyn Tann-Starr 2009

Mike and Noah came out to play. We've managed to do Queens, Manhattan, Brooklyn and Staten Island. Will be in the Bronx, then upstate tomorrow. This should be very interesting (LOL). The kids are telling us where to go. Literally (LMAO). I think I like having them be my Christmas TomTom. We should do this more often. :-)

C-If I ran around with my eyes closed, it'd be disasterous for sure! I love the confidence that young ones hold and the power (in their little minds) they possess! The best to you and your family for the coming year, may it be a year filled with health, happiness and prosperity!

C - "They frolic so well'. This brings back memories that are a double edged sword.  Between the burst blood vessels and loving cute moments... there were pleasant frolicking moments. Enjoy the salad days. They are the best! And may your life be filled with the everyday blessings of goodness. Merry Christmas

Don't you wish we could still have the energy, agility, and light-heartedness of children? I know I would love to recapture that for myself.

Hi Carolyn... it looks like you had a great day of adventure and wonderment.  I used to LOVE the planetarium as a kid.  It has been many years since I have been to one... might be time for me to go again!

C- Who had more fun, the minions or you? Would love to see you run around with your eyes closed...not!(LOL)! Looks like you picked a great day to run around the city. Be careful skiing, Happy New Year and we'll see you in 2010!

I loved seeing pictures of the family playing in the snow.  Merry day after Christmas!

That brings back some memories of when I was a kid.  We just did things without thinking because it might be fun.  Now, we have to check, be careful, think of the consequences, etc.  The free spirit seems to be looming in me somewhere, I just have to dig it out!

What delightful photos, C. You are so creative with your photography. However, I would never run with my eyes closed; I can't even walk half the time with my eyes open. Although, in Viet Nam, you may as well close your eyes when crossing the street for all the good keeping them open does ya.

Wanda, I bump into stuff with my eyes open so when they do that I find it amazing. :-)

Claude, double edged sword indeed (LMAO). ;-)

Robert, you and me both. I figure I should stop trying to figure it out and just play along (LOL). :-)

Marcy, thank you for the kind words. They are very much appreciated. :-)

Lisa, to recapture that would be priceless. :-)

Steve, that place is amazing.

LOL @ SarahGray. I will be coming down soon to do some paperwork in SC. Will let you know and make a pit stop to say hello. Love C. :-)

LOL @ Ann. Merry Day After is now a new tradition in my home (ROTFLMAO). We love that! Very cool and mad funny (LOL).

Dawn, I know exactly what you mean. Things change when we grow up (LOL). ;-)

Thank you, janeAnne. :-)

Hahahahahaaaaa! Elizabeth, too funny. I am imagining this and the cartoons in my head are having a field day (LOL). ;-)

I've discovered it actually is a super power. You try doing that for even five minutes and see if your not winded and tired. These kids can do that for hours and not get tired in the least and that is the real super power. What is they weakness? As soon as you put them in their car seat and drive away, they pass out.

Posted by Todd Clark, Principle Broker Oregon (eXp Realty LLC) almost 11 years ago

ROTFLMAO @ Todd!!! The car seat IS their Kryptonite (Hahahahahaaaaaa!!!)

The last time I ran with my eyes closed I went face first into a statue in a park in my home town. We should be able to harness the energy of children, think about how many homes could run off of it.
