Okay, it's Friday. We took the test... Looks like we have to adopt (LOL)

Okay, it's Friday. We took the test... Looks like we have to adopt (LOL)

Damn... already picked out furniture, baby names and primed the boys for more company (LOL). Oh well... the morning ritual of cookie tossing continues and I hate the fact that I am bunless... Not being preggers is also a concern for me and my Doc so I gotta monitor myself concerning the dizzy thing and Big Daddy Minion is gonna have to figure out another way to get Daddy's Little Girl while I deal with the noggin issue and go get tested for the ongoing puke drama.

For the curious, you can also add memory/concentration issues, sensitivity to light, sensitivity to noise (ringing ears) and general irritability to the list.

Hmm... Am I irritable for being irritable or irritated for not being preggo? I'm not quite sure yet, but am a bit disappointed there isn't another shortie on the way. I may start stalking the hubby because my fall has triggered insane thoughts of creating a baby agenda (LOL). "They" say this may go on for a while (being off kilter). Being concussed is a b*tch, eh? (LMAO) In a very weird way it is also a wee bit fun because I like being babysat by my girlfriends. :-)

I need a vacation. I shall start planning a wee one... Will let you know how it goes when I get back. ;-)

BTW, I still want drums for Christmas (LOL). They will make a lovely housewarming gifts for the boys. Noah and Stephen were a trip at Thanksgiving. How can I not get them something they love? We are nuts about music.:-)

Looking forward to painting Mikey's new investment designer colors and swapping out some stuff (why is my toilet in a closet?). My social media peeps are helping me pick out furniture on-line. My kids destroy while they play so feel free to post links to real wood, nothing flimsy. The twin beds have to survive lots of jumping and they perch on the dressers all the time (LOL).

Time to call my fave stager, Kathy Passarette. Got a FL job for her if she wants it (ROTFL). When we're done there I have to find a builder for my SC cabin. Chicka has two interiors to do. I like hiring professionals and getting out of their way. I may meddle a tiny bit on this one because Mikey is very excited about getting his house and I like spoofing on him. Besides, wont that make for fun video? How can we not have fun with this? (LOL) ;-)

Yup. It's true. We're doing our Donald Trump thing with the relatives and our friends. The entire project is one big social media experiment on networking to get what we want out of our real estate investments: a home, vacation spots + passive rental income for the shorties to inherit.

A blank house is a blank canvas that needs to be filled and Mikey is going first. The boys and I are having a lot of fun planning the FL make over. Since Mike and I are going to split the den I am on the hunt for a portable fireplace that burns alcohol and corn gel. I always wanted a mantel to put my sentimental crap on (LOL). ;-)

Hi Carolyn !  My wife aand I also elected to do the adoption thing - in fact, started an independent adoption center ( California ) !  Many heart warming stories ( and some heart breaking ! ) came out of that.  Happy for you and also happy to share any experiences which may prove helpful to your journey !

I'm so sorry to hear you're having such a tough time of it and your hopes for another addition to the family were dashed, C. I hope the doctors can find out what is wrong and you get help soon. I recently discovered why I'm so tired all the time -- I'm going in for tests for sleep apnea next month. I stop breathing at night. Which I wouldn't have known if my husband didn't tell me. Don't delay getting your health checked out. I hope it's nothing serious.

Aw, man!  I was hoping another shorty was on the way!  Take care of yourself and get over all those issues so you can keep up with all your activities!

Bill, that is an amazing venture. I would love to hear more about it. Please feel free to post lots of paragraphs in my comments section concerning what ever you would like to share on the subject. A girl would be lovely. I hear older kids are more difficult to place so it may be an adventure we'd like to embark upon. :-)

Elizabeth, sometimes when a bad thing happens a lot of unexpected good comes out of it. I have been reevaluating my life and hope to improve upon a few things. I've also discharged several projects and withdrew from a few others. Health comes first. Sometimes you need to be reminded to slow down and smell the roses while you heal. The clients who get it are keepers, the clients who don't are already gone. I m happy with the lightened work load and have no intention of taking on anything new. I just want to complete what I already have going on. :-)

Ann, you and me both. I better hurry up and get to Alabama, eh? I get knocked up my habits of invading states will be limited to the first 90 days (LOL). :-D

Is it an inner ear thing, C, althought that probably wouldn't explain the puking.  One thing you have to do is take care of it and do not overdo it.  You hear!

Posted by Jane Peters, Connecting you to the L.A. real estate market (Home Jane Realty) almost 9 years ago

Well, I think we already knew you were off your rocker. Now it's just official. You're crazy! =P

BTW, except for the puking, I live with ALL those other symptoms on a daily basis. "Sensory Overload"  is just another little treat that stems from this *#^$&%$*^& Fibromyalgia! (and the real reason I can't be around small children... movement, noise... umm, overall grossness! LOL)

CTS,

My heart goes out to you. But how were you going to guarantee the new minion would be of the female flavor?

Sending you big wishes for health, happiness and a daughter...

Posted by Irene Kennedy Realtor® in Northwestern NJ (Weichert) almost 9 years ago

I think Jane's on to something - could be virdego (sp?). My dog have virdego (not trying to compare you to my dog, but I've never had children), and she puked a lot.

Darn - sorry you're not preggo - was ready to have a new niece!

Take care and keep us posted! HUGS!

You sound like you are keeping your sense of humor in spite of what is going on.

I am adopted, was blessed to be, and so was my brother.  I can't imagine what our lives would have turned out as, considering our biological background, if we hadn't been adopted.

I like the pictures of your shorties, very nice, and good that you allow them to just be as kids!

Hey C - hoping you get better soon.  I was about your age when I had a hankering for another child.  Hubby wasn't as enthusiastic (being as he is 8 yrs older than I am) and after about 18 months of indecision, the decision was kinda made for us.  Didn't happen.  But by that time, I was fine with it.

I have some clisnts who adopted a little girl from China after having two boys.  She has added quite a bit of "girly" excitment to the mix.  What a cutie.

Jane, hanging out on the futon is starting to drive me crazy... :-)

LMAO @ Lisa. Absolutely crazy about you. ;-)

Irene, I shall take any new shorty any way I can get the wee one. Girl? Boy? Both? Yup. All good. :-)

Lori, you may be on to something... BTW, might create another neice or nephew if it works out down the road. I like the idea. :-)

Heather, I'm having my second childhood with them. Watching them discover life is quite a treat. ;-)

Sandy, feel free to borrow the little minions anytime you want (LOL). :-D

I'm thinking vertigo too. I've had it and the room spins worse than your worst drunken stupor! It can also cause vomiting and goes hand in hand with the light headed thing. My husband has friends whose vertigo is so severe that when it hits, they have to crawl to their chair. One even had to book 2 airline seats so he could kind of lay down in them because sitting up just was not an option. As for the bun in the oven, it took us 10 years and I really think cough syrup was the trick!

Hahahahahaaaaaaa! I was crawling on the floor the other day with the wee people. Hmm... you guys may have hit the nail on the noggin with that one. Barb, cough syrup sounds very intriguing... :-)

I'm sorry sweetie....I think every woman has been there, on one side or the other of the test. All the expectations and hopes that go into it.

If it makes you feel better about the "morning sickness" symptoms. I had a similar thing a few years ago. I always wake up and hit the coffee and computer. I started to feel very queezy in the am and dizzy, headaches...turned out I needed reading glasses. There are many simple explanations...and the memory loss? Well....I think you have minions to blame for that...they get smarter and we lose our ability to think rationally. :)

Love, love

Hi, Carolyn. Just checking back to see how you are and what the news is or isn't.  I hate to see you disappointed in anything you choose to do.

Posted by Leslie Helm, Real Estate For Trail Riders (Tennessee Recreational Properties) almost 9 years ago

Karen and Leslie, thank you. The upside to the baby agenda is now I can chase the hubby around the house demanding more sex (LMAO). Poor thing is pooped. At least he's trying to make me happy (we're having a lot of fun trying for number 3 - LOL). Next year the baby shop is closing so I better get my rear in gear before my 45th birthday. If I am not knocked up by April I shall try adopting so the boys can have another shorty to play with. We need a girl to balance them out. I have two Alpha males that need to be put in check (LOL). My boy are a handful. ;-)

You're chasing the hubby around demanding more sex? Don't let MY husband read this!!

Posted by Lori Cain, Midtown Tulsa Real Estate Top Producer (eXp Realty) almost 9 years ago

Lori, when you have wee people it can be very tricky because they tend to interrupt a lot of things (LOL) ;-)
