C Tann-Starr's Outside Blog

I Am In Twitter Hell... (LOL)

Ever want to have a direct message conversation but you keep losing your tweet peep because that puppy is over capacity? I am in Twitter Hell. I am trying to have a really cool conversation on a laptop with keys that keep popping off (thanks to Stephen the Blur Minion engaging in the ritual sacrifice of our electronics - LOL).

Why? Hmm... because my cell phone battery is almost dead and I can only recharge it in the car because I forgot the friggin' charger. You should have seen me this morning driving aimlessly around in circles so I could talk on the phone (LMAO).

This is driving me crazy. I am installed as a permanent nocturnal fixture in the corner of my sister's kitchen and am cracking up because the only people awake over here are the kids playing video games. If I were a good Auntie I'd tell 'em to get their butts to bed. However, as they are entertaining me to no end while I serial comment and blog, bad-mommy-bad-auntie mode is soooo on right now (LOL).

I like being a guest. I can pretend to have no parental prerogatives. Besides, other adults are entering the fray. I always have a hard time leaving here to run back up the road. Been locked out twice so far (LOL). I wonder if my parents are still up... :-D

OMG - they are cracking wise and talking smack and I can't stop laughing. Who knew teenagers could be so friggin' funny while being bad a$$ competitive and frontin' with the adults? Looks like this is turning into a video game par-tay. Coolio. I feel like a voyeur whispering bad parenting secrets to my other half and the cartoons in my head are having a field day with the snappy banter. However, when I bust my bahooookies to get my 140 characters in I do not want to have to type the same 140 characters over and over again because the jokes are fast and furious over here and Twitter can't keep up. Tweep-peep transcripts can be mad fun if you type fast enough (LOL).

Why bother? Hmm... besides the fact that I am so easily amused? (LOL)

New reason: Trying to get my country slang-twang on... ;-) These guys are great. My quirky vocabulary is expanding. If they weren't in their jammies I'd film this, but I like my relatives, so no Nikon action (LOL). Am I tempted? Hahahahahaaaa! Seriously so but they have a nice house and I wanna come back here (LOL). ;-)

Can't wait to hear your NY 'tude with a little Southern Twang and Slang.  Call me right after you leave there so I can hear it fresh and full of the song of the south.  Have fun and safe home.

C - the joys and challenges of visiting the relatives. At least you have internet access there. Enjoy!

Big Mike, I want my TomTom to work. I can't figure out how to get to Sandy Childs in Spartenburg, which is enroute to where I want to be in KY. I wanna see Lizette. I am whining like a baby about the loss of a valid GPS satellite signal because it's keeping me from seeing my bay-bays. What the heck is that all about? I want to take the scenic route North to go home... Bummer... We're wiping the drive now while highlighting a bunch of maps. I hope a re-install fixes this or I am going to be really pissed about losing all my fave destinations.

It sounds like you are having a hell of a time!  I'm so jealous of your adventure.  It's like a real life comic book!  You can always count on family for killer story material...you will have enough material now for a long time!  Have a safe trip!

Hahahahahaaaaaa! The girls took me on a tour of the cows. I shall have to write a cow pie post (ROTFLMAO). Sharon, on my way to shoot pictures of Salters SC. Did cows in Manning and houses in Kingstree and Greeleyville. This is mad fun. :-)

Southern slang isn't so hard to pick up on, you just have to be around for a little while and you might not be able to help yourself.

It is a beautiful house are you are the best auntie!  You will be back.. but Twitter... just get over it... too many people too many tweets!  Better get a back up going on your twitter contacts... one day they could all go away... send them over to your facebook fan page so you can communicate there as well!  Just an idea... seems like many people are building, building those twitter followers... so better make them friends... so they don't stray if the system crashes.. or sinks.. that is a whale those tiny birds are holding up!
