C Tann-Starr's Outside Blog

Live From Greeleyville, SC

I am roaming on the air card. OMG - how much is this going to cost me? My browser is wigging out and refusing to upload pictures too (LMAO). I am trying to upload pictures into ActiveRain and Facebook but both of the sites are spinning... Dang... I wanna share some info and eye candy before I float off to disrupt the day of a few Rainers. Hmm... I wonder how naughty we're gonna get (LOL). We're playing cell phone tag right now and are planning lunch and dinner. ;-)

Left NY at sunset on Sunday and had a lovely trip down I-95 after Susan Mangiggian and a lovely cabbie saved me from  a detour from hell in PA (LMAO). TomTom was suffering from cloud cover and doesn't know where the hell I am right now and was useless yesterday (LOL). I was freaking out calling my PA peeps to save me. Mangigly the I-Talian rescued me. God Bless Blogging Buddies! I love that woman. Seriously... :-)

Booked a room at Days Inn for $45. Nice! Did not expect a double for that price. Very cool. Go to 931 W. Broad Street off I-95 and Exit 31 in St. Pauls, NC 28384 (910) 865-1111 THEY HAVE INTERNET!!! Very important to mobile office peeps like me. Too bad I passed out sleeping and didn't blog (LOL). It took three gas stops and 12 hours to get over there (LMAO). It's approximately 39 miles from SC. A great location to stop. ;-)

My Mom and Dad have a beautiful house. They brought it at auction and refinished it. We love Donald Trump. They did what The Donald teaches. You'd have a cow if you knew what they paid for this thing (LOL). I have a cow every time I think about it (ROTFL). It's approximately 1.4 acres inside the town. Told you we have a great yard to throw a BBQ. You can park in the back yard. It takes up three streets (LOL). My kids love it here. So do I. :-)

This is "minion central." My kids live in the side and back yards (LOL).

I'm blogging on the pic bench next to the back porch off the kitchen because I like outside outlets. They make having an outside office fun (LOL). ;-)

This is the guest room. I'll be hanging out here while I'm gone. It opens into a bathroom shared by the other guest room which also has a crib set up for wee people to visit. We have a lot of visitors because they also keep a three bedroom two bath spot empty just down the road for family and friends to visit (no hotel here). I'm supposed to be over there but I like the free food here (LOL). :-)

Got Noah's backpack as my Go-Bag (LOL). It's roomy and very easy to identify (LAMO). ;-)

I went across the road and still can't fit the front of the property into the entire picture (LOL). BTW, the house next door is for sale by the Greeleyville tell a friend network. So of course I'm telling my friends (ROTFL). Already made plans to bring three guests back from New York. I would love to have a gal pal vacationing next to my Mom and Dad. We're an hour from Myrtle Beach people. It's a great spot. BTW, tiny towns fascinate me.

I wanna go to Myrtle Beach. Great foodie paradise spots over there. I shall have to hunt down Jeremy and Mirela since I am this close to invading their territory (LOL). Sent them both e-mails through AR. Will call 'em later. Hooking up with Celina Gleason and Mama Liz. Now there's a fun combination (LOL). On the prowl to high-jack more Riners. Tanya Venable and I may catch up if we can manipulate our schedules. I am taking a short sale REO class while I'm here. Kinda sorta working between play time... Geez, what else is new, eh? ;-)

I have a lot of shots but the satellite feed is hinky while roaming. Will go high-jack a relative's computer later. I owe you guys comment responses on a couple of posts and I want to show you our fields down the road (LOL).

Drats... I am also peeved at not being able to post to Facebook. I have film (LOL). ;-)

Will take you guys on a couple of tours showcasing southern homes while I am messing around visiting and working in SC. Maybe I should start now. It's a nice day. I'm going jogging. :-D

My Darling C., the next time you are lost in PA, try to be at an intersection BEFORE YOU CALL me to try to mapquest you the heck out of there!!  Very glad to see that my favorite crazy lady has arrived.  What?  No pictures of mom??  I would have loved to be a fly on the wall when you arrived almost 24 hours after missing the train! lol!  Max was laughing with us last night while I was trying to direct you.

Susan, I just hung up the phone from JL. We're going to try and get together tomorrow.  I told him what happened and shall have to write this adventure down because I am still laughing (LOL). My mother and brother were cracking up, especially about me calling her from the platform while watching the train leave the station (LMAO).

Their house is really pretty.  And I just love that rocking chair the sponge bob backback is in.  Is it an antique?  The outside and backyard are perfect.  I hope you enjoy your visit and that the roaming isn't going to cost you too dearly.

I have to ask, what specifically does The Donald teach?

Posted by Heather Fitzgerald, REALTOR Greenwood Indiana Real Estate (REALTY WORLD-Harbert Company, Inc.) about 11 years ago

Heather, Donald Trump has a stellar set of CDs and DVDs in Trump University where he and others talk candidly about building wealth through obtaining real estste by various creative financing methods. Mom and Dad own several properties. It works if you are willing to do what he and others have done. I'm working on restructing my 5 year plan so I can do what they already did and am paying off an owner financed property now. Got a year left on my mortgage. :-)

Tammy, it's a neat spot. Thank you. :-)

Tammy, it is an antique. They have quite a few of 'em. :-)

Carolyn, it looks like your parents have done very well.... that's a great property.
My backyard looks just like your Mom's, where the table and chairs are under the gazebo ... it's only slightly bigger than that concrete pad LOL :)
(living downtown Toronto comes at a price - no land). :)

Looks like your trip has been a mini adventure so far. :)  Try not to get lost again. :)

Sylvie, they are happy they moved from NYC. They are totally into wide open spaces. :-)

Thank you, Sheldon. I am going to post the fields tomorrow. :-)

It is a great town C!  Just worn those northern visitors about the friendly Greeleyville Police Officers and their habit of giving little paper presents to people who don't obey the speed limit.

Hahahahahaaaaaa! I'm driving like a turtle over here (LMAO). ;-)

I will have to check The Donald info out, interesting. My husband hasn't liked the stock market lately, since they artificially propped it up before the averge investor was aware of it, allowing stocks to have their lonest run up in awhile.....so real estate is seeming like an area for us to check out from an investor perspective, without having much debt risk though.

It's very interesting stuff, Heather. You should check out Josef Katz on AR. He is the Marketing VP at Trump University. I love their stuff because they break down how to do things on their website. I like land because land doesn't depreciate like so many other things do. At some point, once we determine the highest and best use of our land (based upon what is needed in the area) we will carefully develop the parcels. My Mom and Dad invested in land and rental properties. They're pretty happy with what they have. I'm looking forward to migrating into commercial transactions so I am learning a lot from Trump U material. Gonna eventually do a gas station in a few years on a property on a highway to Myrtle Beach. :-)
