Here's A Glorious Example Of The Beauty Of Carson Valley, Nevada!

I love eye candy and I have to say this picture makes me want to go check out Nevada. My friend Lisa was kind enough to make this post available for a re-blog. Thank you Lisa. Enjoy! :-)

Here's a glorious example of the beauty of Carson Valley.

Jobs Peak looking her best.  Many people think that Nevada is all desert and sagebrush.  There are many beautiful agricultural valleys like our that offer some wide open green spaces!

The majestic Sierra Nevada Mountains run the border between California and Northern Nevada and provide a stunning backdrop for our northern Nevada Communities!

Wow.  Wide open spaces, puffy white clouds... we are definitely not in Philly anymore....

I love mountains!  They add something to the landscape that is just extraordinary.  That's one thing I truly miss about living in Jamaica.

Northern Nevada - with all the different terrains and winds, etc - they have the most amazing cloud formations - I miss that, I lived in Reno for years.

That is pretty, make you wish that you had a blanket and a picnic lunch along with an entire afternoon to just relax and enjoy!

Carolyn - I'm so glad you made it to that area of our country.  There is a place that sits at the base of the Eastern side of the Sierras, called Genoa Nevada.  It's very close to where your picture is taken.  Genoa is also home to the most awesome hotsprings I know.  This time of year isn't as pleasant to visit the springs - because the weather is too warm - but in October or February/March it is absolutely amazing.

Carson Valley has a wonderful relaxed feel to it!  I hope you are or have enjoyed every minute there!

Here's a picture.  David Walleys (at Genoa). is a complex with about 9 pools that are all fed for soaking or swimming.  Temperatures range from 90 - 105 degrees.   I have been there in the months of October and March!

OMG - I am soooooo coming to Nevada. This place is gorgeous! I have to see this. You make me want to go out and buy more paint and canvas.

Susan, yeah, I know what you mean, but PA is awesome. I have to come back over and play with you when I kill the Flu bug. Seems I'm still coughing over here... Every time I laugh I start choking. :-)

Lisa, you will be the first one to know. Promise. :-)

Ann, it's an awesome bit of eye candy, eh?

Stacey-Ann, I think that's why I run upstate so much. The mountains are always beautiful... :-)

Virginia, that sounds very interesting. Got any Reno pictures?

Tony and Darcy, that sounds like a plan. If it doesn't rain over here I may have to take the wee ones out for a picnic later. Fresh air may do me some good. I've been grounded with a cold and the car in the shop. I'm stir cray (LOL).

Myrl, not yet, but planning to. Never been to CA either. This could get very interesting... :-)
