The Outside Blog Minion Report
http://www.bigapplecircus.org/
From May 16th until May 31 the Big Apple Circus will be performing in Queens County, NY. The little minions had a blast with Mike and I. I haven't been to the circus in a long time and it was quite a treat. If you can't make the dates, their next gig will be close by. The show will be migrating to Long Island from June 5th to July 5th. That should give you plenty of time to take the kids (or borrow a few if you think you need an excuse to go because someone had the nerve to insinuate you may be a wee bit too old - LOL).
Wanna buy tickets? Click this link.
Accessibility information can be found here. You do not have to leave a loved one's wheel chair at home. There are services for people with mobility impairments and they even have an FM assistive system in the Big Top for the hearing impaired. Braille is available for the blind so they will have an idea regarding what they are listening to and sign language interpreters can be arranged if you make arrangements in advance. Don't forget to tell the ticket takers you reserved a headset for a hearing impaired loved one.
No excuse. Go have some fun. Pack a picnic for later. Scope the neighborhood restaurants. Lots of foodie paradise spots to choose from when you run up and down Union Turnpike. BTW, we had BBQ with the neighbors in the park so feel free to pack your cooler and the grill for the ones who don't want the Big Top. They can deliver it and meet up with you when the show is over. (Big Hint: text them during the 15 minute intermission so they know to start heading over with those ribs, hot-dogs and hamburgers - LOL) Make it an all day affair. Sunshine and giggling is good for the soul. :-)
Here's a little minion eye candy. Enjoy. :-)

Carolyn,
Thanks for sharing! Gorgeous pic of the big top!
Carolyn, Looks like a great time and you are right, sunshine and giggling are good for the soul!
Carolyn, the beauty of the Circus is that it amuses young and old alike. I haven't been in years. The picture of the tent brings back great memories!
C - great eye-candy, thanks for being so quick to share the pictures,
Coleen , you are very welcome. It's a neat little place they set up. :-)
Barb , I'm looking to grab me a few more giggles before I hit the hay. :-)
Connie , I am soooo easily amused (LOL) ;-)
Richard , I know what you mean. I'm in Firefox right now (LOL). :-)
Big Mike , wait until you see the PA pics from REBar Camp and F-Wake (LOL). Tried to shoot the Liberty Bell but the kids were swarming the place. Got some nice eye candy I need to get up later tonight. :-)
Great pics, C. And I bet you didn't have anybody hissing in your ear that they were going to report you for taking photos, either. LOL.
Elizabeth, too funny! (LOL) :-D
Aw, what fun! Great pictures too.....I know you all had a good time!
Ann, I love running amuck with the little minions. They are soooo unpredictable. Kids make life fun. :-)
Carolyn, I loved your pictures! Funny thing about the circus, it doesn't matter how old you are, you;ll always enjoy it!
Looks like a great time Sis. Hope the nephews enjoyed it as much as mommy and daddy did! The pics are great too.
For more than a decade I've heard about the Big Apple Circus. ! It was fun to "go there" through your lens.
And a good time was had by all! Great seeing you yesterday! I hope you got some eye candy in on the way home. Sorry I couldn't play longer. xxoo
Carole, very true. I loved every silly minute of it (LOL).
Susan, I found the Liberty Bell, stood on line for an hour, then couldn't get a clean shot because the kids were mobbing the place (LOL). I actually went outside and shot into the building to capture the little buggers hamming it up in front of it. :-)
Janice, I got a bunch more but am not sure what to do with 'em (LOL).
Paddy, my lovely, I am soooo overdue for a visit. I owe you at least a dozen phone calls. Your nephews are having a blast down here. We just got back from the game room. I should have brought my Nikon. The boys were driving cars and shooting hoops with Daddy. Got a few shots on the cell phone. May post about it later after I finish the PA draft. ;-)
