Thank you, Lenn for making this information available for a re-blog.
I SUBSCRIBE TO THE DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS WEB SITE which offers updated information for viewers about program changes for Veterans Administration benefits.
Most of the releases are related to health, hospitalization, etc. From time to time, there will be an announcement about housing, which of course, is my reason for subscribing.
This moring, I received an announcement about something that is particurly heartwarming, especially in view of the recent release of news about the efforts of Homeland Security with respect to identifying "returning vets" as targets of right wing extremists groups.
The Department of Veterans Affairs, OTOH, rather than treat our returning vets as targets of extremists is offering help and resources for returning vets.
Interesting.

C. Thanks for spreading the word. Between us we have a Gazillion subscribers.
You are very welcome, Lenn. ;-)
The Department of Veteran Affairs is a good thing. So is CalVet, who makes doing a short sale a joy, if I can use such a small word to describe them.
Awesome! BTW, I have been bragging about your book, Elizabeth. Can't wait for it to hit the shelves. I'm going to have mad fun plastering it all over the Internet. :-)
I think anything that offers a helping hand to our veterans is a good idea.
JL, I second you on this. They give up a lot. It takes a special person to put their life on the line. Not everyone would put themselves in harms way...
This is so important - to know what is available. I'm sure we all know someone who had made the ultimate sacrifice. I have cousin who made it through the Vietnam War, but came back so changed he eventually committed suicide.
